Palace Korean, let me count all the ways I love thee!!! This location is my favorite because the service has always been great. Waters get refilled, meat gets replenished, and the side dishes are always readily provided. PLENTY of parking, clean restaurant, and clean bathrooms. I also like that the sinks are kid-friendly. On a side note, I hate when restaurants that have lots of families as patrons do not have stepping stools or anything so that the kids can wash their hands on their own. Anyway, my daughter also loves the gyoza. I happen to LURVE the short ribs, beef brisket, pork belly, and beef tongue. In the past year since I've started coming here I've noticed that the price has gone up from $16.99 to $18.99. I hope they can continue to maintain reasonable prices so that we can happily keep coming back!

I would rate their food 5 stars, but because their service needs a little bit improvement that's why I give them 3 stars. Some waiters don't smile and look unhappy. Sometimes we would have to call for waiters about 5 times and they literally just walk pass us without even acknowledging us. It started to become awkward and we had to ask the host and another waiter for help. Yeah, kind of weird? Also we did not receive our change back and had to ask for it. I did recognize that the cashier (he was a guy) he was pretty nice and said "sorry about that" plenty of times and seemed genuine and fixed all the problems we had. I would give him a thumbs up for customer service. Anyways their food is real good for sure! I love getting the short ribs, spicy pork and shrimp and their rice is consistent as well.

I tried this place for the time yesterday (4/4/15). We did the all you can eat BBQ. It was AWESOME! The customer service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Unlike other Korean all you can eat BBQs I've been to in Tacoma, every single person that helped us did so with a smile and each of them were very attentive to our needs. They provided the friendly and professional service equally to all customers, unlike the other Korean BBQ places I've been to where they focused most of their attention on their own ethnicity, while ignoring everyone else. I highly recommend Palace Korean BBQ in Federal Way to anyone who wants to be treated like a valued customer. It's a little drive for me (from Tacoma), but I will definitely going be going back. It's well worth the drive and money! Oh. And they even change the grill top regularly so you're not cooking new meat on burnt marinade. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!

If you dont like processed ham, don't get the ftesh tendered pork.. it tasted like a salty processed ham. But the rest was pretty good from their unlimited korean bbq.. Im happy it came with the soy bean paste soup but I wished they had the egg soup like in San Diego (Manna). Also their side dishes was not that impressive but at least their kimchi was decent. The service was also good as the servers assisted with the cooking.

***This particular visit we used an Amazon Local deal and my review is based off of it*** We had just finished the brunt of our holiday shopping, when I came across this deal in my email. We stopped home and printed it just incase. This is our choice restaurant, there is one similar in the area that includes a full buffet, but the side dishes and service is not comparable. You can order regular yummy Menu items(traditional Korean dishes) or all you can eat BBQ. Of course I always opt for the all you can eat BBQ. Gotta have my pork belly, beef slices, ribs, octopus and shrimps! I love how they give a brown rice alternative. My favorite side dishes are the fish cakes, daikon kimchee, bean sprouts, ok I love em all! One thing I love as well is how the decor is simple and the music is mixed American and Kpop sounding. The consumer atmosphere is vibrant and their restroom rocks with cleanliness(as with many Asian buffets that I've seen or all you can eats the restrooms can seem so unappealing after such good eats) Usually with taxes it's around $50 for 2 but the coupon basically brings it to $30 in essence a $10 savings is a bonus any day for My Boo and I who fare there regularly! What you waiting for?

People are pretty split on this place. Me? I came for lunch and walked away with a meh. There were 5 of us, with 4 orders of all you can eat and one jap jae. First, we ended up sitting at a table for 4 people. We were crammed in and there really wasn't enough room for all the food at the table. Second, the table burner did not work and we had to relocate....to another table for 4. The food was also sort of tasteless. Although marinated, I thought everything was sort of flat. Even the panchan was sort of meh, pretty much sticking to the norm. We did get refills without asking, although they charged for extra lettuce leaves. That's a little excessive, isn't it?

I come here because the service at Shin Sung makes me shake my head and wish I was Korean so that I can just call for whatever I want and actually get it. Here, when you don't speak Korean, is the best as it gets. I'm pretty low maintenance. I don't drink that much of my liquids because it's always cold in there my legs are always shaking. The side dishes aren't all that great and the soup tends to come 10 to 15 minutes after you get your barbecue on. But all in all it's still my go to Korean barbecue place.

YUM!!!!!! We went here for dinner this past weekend - so DELICIOUS. We ordered the All you can eat Korean Barbeque special which is $18.99 per person - what a great deal. You choose the meats you would like - you can choose between spare ribs, beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, octopus and more! We sampled the marinated beef, pork belly and spare ribs. You cook the meat yourself over a hot plate - lucky for us, we had someone in our party who knew what they were doing and in minutes we could start eating! The meats also come with side dishes: white rice, salad, potato salad, tempura eggplant, kimchi, spicy cucumbers, daikon and more. I would definitely come back here!

The only Korean thing I specialize in is K-Drama. The BBQ is fairly new to me. But Palace Korean was pretty darn tasty. The side dishes were on the small side and not the most exciting. But the meat was great, as was the service. The short ribs were awesome. I would definitely come back here. But since I ate a year's worth of meat in one sitting, it'll be a while before I return.

I like the palace Korean bbq most. There are a lot of choices in all you can eat rather than other Korean bbq. Quality is good too even side Dishes!! I don't get it why this restaurant's rate is so law because they never let me down every time. Haha I highly recommend this place to go really -,.- for sure. Sometimes, there is long waiting line for bbq, but there is a bar to wait for a table which other Korean restaurants don't have. Thus, it's okay The bar service was Awesome! Atmosphere was awesome too. Big loud music and full shots of drinks. It was funnest day ever.

A great deal if you are really into Korean BBQ $17 for all you can eat with fresh veggies sides. I'm more of a fan of the traditional soups and stir fried plates and stuff. Place is huge with many table top grills for groups. I would love to come here again to try their regular menu

Good food ...bad service....but at 14.95 all you can eat I will live with some bad service

  • Katie S.

We came as a party of 9. Since the table couldnt fit all nine of us, we had to sit at two seprate tables. And yet, they still charged us 18% for tips. Wtf? What even worse is that one of the servers was slow and kept forgetting our orders.

Okay, if my Brazilian BBQ known as Novilhos Factoria were to go under then this be my backup go to place. This is a pocket friendly version of the Brazilian Meat Buffet and this Korean buffet dinner is worth every penny. These Korean ladies work exceptionally hard make your buffet as pleasant as possible. All You Eat, DIY Meat Festival: Prawn, ok Unseasoned pork bellies, ok Bulgogi, ok Unseasoned beef shavings, ok Spicy pork BBQ, ok AND THE LIST GOES ON AND ON.... I 520% APPROVE OF THIS BUFFET!!! Happy Eating Ebay Blake

Service is bad. Food-just ok, definitely not worth the price, especially the service. I Would not come back.

Service was super S L OW today! If you don't mind that then your ok. Cause the food is good. I had the the buffet before. The service was a little better then. We Order teriyaki this time.......Not wasn't to happy also no combo teriyaki (1/2 chicken & 1/2 beef) plates at dinner. Then they didn't bring all our food so we couldn't all eat at the same time. Plays they never brought my cousins drink until the end.

Oh, Palace... I am deeply saddened by the decline of your food and service. My bf and I were craving Korean soup the other night and we were about to head to Palace... but flashbacks of our most recent visit (last month) steered us away from going back. First of all... we went for Korean BBQ as we always do.. and it was FREEZING. Seriously, we could hardly enjoy our dinner there because we were so cold... I understand fans have to blow and such with all the smoke from the grills... but can you turn on a little heat? It was warmer outside than inside. I was literally shivering while cooking my meat.... Secondly, the quality of the meat and banchan went downhill. I think with the number of Groupons/deals Palace has been putting out there, they are being skimpy on the quality/taste of the food. I really loved Palace... it was my go to place for Korean BBQ. I want to love the place again... but I don't know if it's salvageable. :(

  • Daisy S.

Food is great, but the service sucks! We paid almost $30 a person yet they only brought food out to us twice. After that they just ignored us. Definitely not worth the price you pay. I believe if you say "all you can eat" you better be providing customers with the amount of food they would like. Esp if you are charging that much. I will never be back here.

Palace Korean Bar & Grill in Federal way is My Regular Lunch spot. They really have Awesome Lunch Specials with all the Banchan side dishes you love! The Lunch Bento portions are Huge!! I'm been going here at least once a week the past couple of months haha! I have always had a good experience with their AYCE Korean BBQ! When they are very busy though service can be spotty...The inside can be very cold...be warned though your clothes will smell like Korean food after!! ***This location is far better than the Bellevue one!! Yay! I'm a fan.

  • Winn W.

Food was good. Service was great until they pretty much kicked us out. We weren't done dining when the server came over gave us our bill and never came back. We realized they did this because there were other guest waiting. We had only been there for 45 mins. I was super disappointed.

It helps that I'm already a big fan of kbbq. I've tried the Palace over in Bellevue and compared it with the Federal Way location and hands down, you do taste a difference. This one is way better.. food wise, service wise and atmosphere. It was busy the night I went, but the waiters/waitresses were great w the service. My friend even said "You do things before we ask!" and she meant that in a good way. We don't really need to ask and wait around for them to serve us and whatnot. Before we get to asking, they know what to do to give great service. The ladies here are also really cheerful which always helps w the experience. Comparing to the Bellevue location, Bellevue had bad service and it wasn't as live as Federal's location, so the waiters never really came back to check on us. I wouldn't mind the drive to the Feds because it's hands down the better kbbq I've tasted between two locations. Never forget to tip them well (:

Everyone knows this is the place to go to for authentic Korean food! Who can say no to their fresh banchan!? And yes, all you can eat meat! say what!? Their banchan is probably one of the best I've had because it's always fresh and tasty! Also comes with their egg tofu soup. Haha, for a great price of $14.99 you get a variety of delicious raw meat to grill. Yes! Bulgogi, spicy pork, chicken, beef ribs... and even squid and octopus! Love their dipping sauces too. I have been to both, this location & the Bellevue one. Both are really friendly and helpful. I love how they have the doorbell thing where you can ring it and they come to you. Sometimes, service is hit or miss. It's a little odd when I want more meat and sometimes they seem at awe or I'm just paranoid they think our table wants hella meat. But we sure do and we take advantage of all you can eat! I definitely think this place is worth it! Most of the meats are fresh, but they do sometimes come out frozen. Otherwise, they are marinated for you, and are pretty friendly. They often come and help you grill and cut the meat. No extra charge for rice, thank goodness! Oh, and bathrooms are clean too!

We always come here for unlimited Korean BBQ. We came here right after work, and surprisingly we got the best service ever. Normally, we would have pretty bad service. Our last experience, we never had to cook our own meat, she will come and cut the meat up for us and ask if we needed anything else. I guess the best time to get great service is when it's really dead and quiet.

  • McKay C.

I've eaten here a dozen times. This place is solid. Better than solid, actually. The food is really good and the service is really good. In truth, they could kick up the service a notch, but it's good. The price of the all you can eat seems high, but every time I eat here, I walk out wondering how they stay in business (you get A LOT of meat for the money!). Don't hesitate to go here. It's great.

I've been to the Palace Korean BBQ in Bellevue.. and I wasn't a fan... Came here with some friends and had the same expecations as my first experience - poor. However, this place is soooooooo much better. Much cleaner and the servers are prompt and polite. They have coals for their grills and servers here actually help grill the meat for you (cutting the short ribs when ready, flipping the pork belly, etc.) They have the usual Korean pickled/spicey dishes along with the tofu soup and steamed egg. The price went up $1 to 15.99 but it's still a good bargain! I've been here 5+ times since the first and would reccommend this place to everyone!

My sister and I went to lunch here. Apparently you bbq your own food at the table. The menu was incomprehensible, and after telling the staff 4 times that we'd never been there and have no Idea what we're doing, none of the staff could be bothered to explain what to do or even a lunch special. The server left us at the table with a stack of open menus expecting us to be able to know what to order. We ended up ordering fried rice and chicken yakisoba. They brought 8 small dishes of something. They didn't tell us what they were, or even let us know they were coming. Had I known what looked to be eel meat and pickled brain, I would have told them to skip it. It took 15 minutes to get the check, they forgot our boxes, and didn't even say thanks for coming in. Never going back. Explaining how your restaurant works is not asking too much.

Went back a couple times after the first review (only place that's open later) It wasnt as bad. Just depends on the server. The food is always good- its the service thats inconsistent.

This place is great showed up and didn't have to wait long before the food was already on the grill great service and our waitress even cut the meat up for us and started putting food on our plates. Will defiantly come back again

3rd times a charm? It was for me! Took mom and my daughter her for Mother's day linner. Was sat quickly and order and food came out prompt. Waitress even helped get us started getting most of the food on the grill. Bonus today I am guessing normally the short ribs are not on the all you can eat but they were today and boy did I take advantage of that! Had to upgrade from my past reviews for this and the helpful waitress. She was the same one that served me the 2nd review. Both my mother and my daughter were satisfied with the food selection and full from all the delicious food. That says a lot since my daughter is pretty picky. Wonderful experience for mother's day.

So our party, which consist of triple play date (6 adults, 3 toddlers) decided to eat here on a Sunday after the kids got a chance to play. It took a few more minutes than i anticipate to find this place but nonetheless, we found it. The place was jammed packed from the looks on the outside, went inside to further confirmed. We decided to wait anyways, i figured since we were there already and plus i had a groupon for them. I'd say they have no system what-so-ever when it came to those who waited in the lobby needing assistance. There were at least 6-8 people standing around in the lobby when we got there. Some looking very upset and some clueless. I went to the front and asked another customer if there were a waiting list going, they shrugged and said no and that they were waiting for a long time. We tried to wave someone down, but all they said was "just a minute". --Look people, if it's busy like that, i understand BUT you should have a hostess!! Finally someone came and took down names, i was totally irked because a few more parties came in after us, but apparently THEY thought it was ok to jump ahead of those who were "patiently" waiting already (HATE THAT SHIT!) Like i said, im quite understanding when a place gets busy and things are forgotten/lowler in process. But i was beyond understanding when people who gets in front of you.. Alright, onto the food Our party decided to order a tray of meat, gyoza, and soon dubu to share. The food came within a decent of amount of time. The food wasn't SPECTACULAR but it wasn't gross either. I'm sure service would have been better but because of how busy it was, i was ok with that Sunday service. There were a few times when they kept forgetting to bring things to our table (again, i was understanding). They forgot the spoon for the soon dubu (i sorta needed it..), i requested another straw because my lil monster dropped his (never got it and it was fine, he survived), we requested more napkins and few more chopsticks (took a while and they didnt get it for us, i just pulled a chinese and helped myself). Whenever the waitress was around though, she was pleasant and never rude.. in my opinion. So all in all, i believe the dinning may have been a better experience if it wasn't so packed. The food was a 3 star and service a meh, 3 star i suppose.

Totally worth your money. I went here on a Wednesday night and definitely got better service. It wasn't busy at all. I don't think that it is the best Korean bbq out there, but for the price, I think you get a lot of food! What other place gives you miso soup and egg soup along with your side dishes? I just wish meat was marinated more. I do love the Korean short ribs!

I've been eating kkbq at Palace since they first opened, so far there's been a steady decline in food and service. The enviroment is pretty nice, aside from the fact that it's near freezing inside. They have an excellent variety of meats and banchan which is always a plus. Also they've recently raised their kbbq from 15.99 to 17.99.

5 stars to the Nth power FREE Duk Gook Soup (Rice Cake/Dumpling Soup for ya non-Korean folk) on New Years Day from 11 am - 3 pm. What a ridiculous promotion! It's a tradition to have a steaming hot bowl of Duk Gook on Jan 1st to ring in the New Year. There's some symbolism behind this ... something about becoming a year older and wiser once you consume a bowl. My mom and sisters were the first customers there and were greeted with a chorus of hellos by the entire staff. We felt bad about it being free so just ordered 2 bowls and we got free side dishes (kimchee, bean sprouts, etc) to boot. So of course we left a tip and went away with our bellies full and yes, a year wiser. I did take a peek at the menu and they're some screaming good deals here. $15 grill meals, $5 lunch specials, $6 cocktails ....

We wanted to go to H-Mart so we gave it a try here during lunch. They have parking lot and it was spacy inside. Not very busy, we got greeted and seated right away. I first noticed it was quite cold inside, perhaps they didn't have heat on because the BBQ would warm you up? Nonetheless, it's lunch and they have unlimited BBQ of your choice for $14.99/person. Can't beat that, especially if you are big eater. We each got beef tongue and bulgogi. Food came out quick, along with those delicious side dishes (my fave!). The meat was pretty frozen, and that's why i can't give 5 stars. But they tasted alright. Side dishes were not refilled automatically, and you had to request. We were about to order some soup when our waitress let us know the BBQ came with bean paste tofu soup. Thanks! We had some beer and overall had a great time during such a cold winter day! I'd definitely come back if we're in the area~ And did I forget to mention the bathroom is clean and nice? Bonus!

I got a groupon for this place and decided to try it out. What is awesome is that you can use the groupon for the all you can eat. It's 15.99 per person. Actually pretty worth it if you eat the good stuff. The groupon I got was 15 but worth 30 bucks there. Its like the price of 2 for 1! I came here with a party of 5 and the tables are somewhat made for 4 persons-er. I liked how they gave plenty of condiments and the soups. There was a list of the different type of meats to chose from. Everything seemed a bit bland. The BBQ beef and the spicy pork was the most flavor. Theres also seafood options like baby octopus and shrimp. The octopus looked weird, and the shrimp was a hit or miss, some tasted a little old. The service wasn't the best, it was alittle hard to understand the ladies there. And one of the girls was very short with us. After joking around a bit, she loosened up. We waited for them to check up on us to refill rice for a while, to the point where we had to get up and asked for it. That I didn't like. Overall, pretty cool deal of 15.99 of all you can eat. Just an okay experience for me though, I wasn't wow'ed out. ALSO they charge you a 15% gratuity off that bat. As much as we didn't get "helped" as much as we wanted, there was no choice there!

This place has pretty good AYCE KBBQ. They usually put up a Groupon every couple of months for $10 for a lunch rather than paying full price, which is good. The food is pretty good, but it's hard to flag down a waiter to refill your plate of meat. I really like getting the marinated beef and pork belly. I just wish that I could pick the sides I want rather than having all of them placed onto my table. It gets pretty cramped with all of the side dishes along with the trays of meat. It also is a little awkward if you come with a large group and the waiter places you at one of the tables between the booths. The big tables can fit around ten people but there's a big partition in the middle separating the tables into four. If you go, I would recommend request a booth rather than a table for more space.

We had been in here before when it was fairly new and I think we didn't quite care for it but I don't remember why. This is why I must always YELP. We stopped by this time at 8:30 on a Friday night and we were hungry. The place was packed. We had to wait for about 15 minutes but eventually got a bbq table. The restaurant was cold. probably about 63 degrees.... I think the staff didn't notice because they were hustling trying to keep up with the full house. I was just sitting and I was the only one that didn't bring a coat. Most of the people in the whole place were wearing their coats. The banchan wasn't anything special and we went through it pretty fast while we were waiting to order and then waiting for our food. We went with the 15.95 all you can eat and chose the meats we wanted. It was all pretty good. The service was a little shaky but that was because the place was packed. Except for the bar. I am not sure why the bar wasn't open on a Friday night....or if they don't open the bar, why they don't use that for extra seating. The meat was good but the overall experience was just OK because of the rushed atmosphere, the slow service and the cold....

Service. We had two waitresses because we had a 8-person group. One was mean/rude. The other was friendly enough. Both were very very slow in getting us our food. We wanted to try out a soy bean soup and asked if the waitress had had it before here, and she just replied with a laugh. They took forever to change our grill. They charged our three-year old even though it should've been free. Though when we told them she was three, they took it off. Food. The soy bean soup was nasty. The bibimbap was whatever. I wouldn't order it again. We had the buffet, and the meat was alright. We've had much much better at other places. I really only enjoyed the fishcakes. The kalbi was alright. The chicken was alright. So why the one star? The one rude waitress, slow service, and the non-buffet items were not good at all.

YUM! this place is really great. i was really shocked because it's also all you can eat for $15. various cuts of beef, pork, chicken, shrimp and squid. my favorite was the thin sliced beef and the steak looking cut of beef. i had some beef tongue too, it was OK. my friends liked it. im generally not into internal organs. :( im a bad asian! i believe the lunch and dinner price is the same. it comes with a pretty good variety of side dishes (ban chan), soup, and steamed egg. the steamed egg is one of my favorites! i just like this dish, pretty much at all korean restaurants. also, be patient, they bring the soup and steamed egg out later.

My first experience at a Korean BBQ restaurant... AMAZING! You definitely pay for what you get - GREAT service & GREAT food! Show up hungry and take advantage of their all-you-can-eat BBQ! Their short ribs were delish!

This is my go to place for korean BBQ. The price is just right at about $16 per person. Along with the BBQ meats, you get a variety of sides as well. The workers there suggest you choose only 5 meats at a time. Some of the selections that you could choose from are marinated beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, baby octopus, short ribs, pig intestines, and beef tongue (my favortie). The only reason why i gave them 4 stars was because, the workers there dont really come around to refill drinks. We would always have to beep them numerous times.

Good food, but bad service. It's extremely hard to get some water. So, I suggest you ask for two. And they make sure to remind you about their tip.

I've been here once and from what I remember it was a solid experience. The price was $17.99 for all you can eat - and in my opinion, as long as a place isnt more then $20 for all you can eat asian food, its a deal. Our table seated four and around the grill were different side dishes. The meat selection was food, typical for an all you can eat Korean BBQ menu. The service was decent - I dont expect much from asian restaurants; keep my water full and occasionally come back to see if I need anything. They did exactly that.

Better selection in meat than most all-you-can-eat korean bbq, plus there actually is "customer service!" Well for the first 40 minutes we were there. After that, we didn't see our waitress for a while. Probably didn't help though that we came in pretty late (around 10:30). Other then that, the only other thing I could complain about is that the side dishes aren't as good as other korean restaurants that I have been to... Overall the food was good and they even bring you shik-kae at the end of your dinner! Definitely recommend for all-you-can-eat korean bbq!

So much BETTER than their Bellevue location. I don't tend to venture down south too often, but for all you can eat korean bbq, I don't mind at all (plus, friend was driving... free ride!) This is obviously a review for their all you can eat bbq, which is 15.99 a person. First main difference: They let YOU choose the meat you desire, whereas in the Bellevue location, they give you an assortment of meat, and it isn't always what you desire. Stick with their LA style kalbi, samgyeopsal, etc. I didn't care much for their chicken or 'spicy pork belly'. Second main difference: SERVICE. Their waitresses were always welcoming and friendly towards us. They refilled our water three times, refilled our salad, as well as came back to see if we wanted more meat. Ridiculously better than in Bellevue, in which I don't think my water was filled ONCE. Oh and before I forget, their changed our grill top THREE times in order to keep our dining area cleaner. Madness. However, towards the end you can tell they want you out... they slyly give you the bill, but it wasn't like they forced us out. Third: CLEANLINESS: if you haven't heard, their Bellevue location was closed down for multiple violations but I could tell this location was kept muuuuch more cleaner compared to their counterpart. All in all: good meat, good service. Satisfied.

Came here after a church retreat - all 130 of us students. This was our second time coming as a huge group, and I'm assuming they were prepared after the first. This time, they had the grills and food ready for us. Everything started coming out within 5 minutes. By the way, we took up the whole place, and had to cram people in tables. Food was good (we had the All you can eat BBQ). Kalbi and Bulgogi were the marinated meats, and everything else seemed bland. Service was quick for 4-5 waitresses helping so many tables at once. Overall... Average. We only come here after a retreat, which is so far... Twice a year. It was a good $3,000 lunch.

I'll admit it - I am a big fan of all-you-can-eat. Maybe because I'm such a savage :) Anyway, this place is probably the most I have ever gotten for my money - korean food-wise. I swear, sometimes it seems like Korean food can be pretty pricey but this place has such a great deal - $14.95 for all you can eat korean bbq! The meat was pretty good for the price and the selection was HUGE. We got everything from spicy pork (favorite), pork belly, short ribs, chicken, pork intestines, cow tongue, shrimp, and more. The side dishes are also well ranged and decent. The staff here is friendly and polite also, making the experience even better. Reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is because of some of the food coming out frozen.. which made it seem less fresh.

I've been here a few times. I definitely recommend their bento box and I love all the sides that come with the food. However, I think I have been missing out and next time I MUST go there for the all-you-can-eat or cook-yourself meat. I have also tried the soups (spicy seafood was amazing, but the beef one was very boring). Generous portions and great service. The atmosphere is very lively and fun. I have only been here for dinner.

I have been here twice and each time had a different experience. There two things you need when you stop in for a bite: the first is your appetite, the second is a warm jacket. My initial visit to palace was quite the experience. I realize that it was a busy night, however it took almost 20 minutes to seat my party of two. Then it took another 30 minutes for us to get any service. It seemed that the restaurant did not have any heater what so ever. I literally had to consume a lot of hot tea and hot sauce for me to stay at a comfort level. The warmest spot in that restaurant are the restrooms. With that being said...I came back to this place the second time because of the food. For the price of 15$ (dinner) you will get a plethora of Korean side dishes, meats, and vegetables. So if your willing to endure the cold but have an appetite for some Korean cuisine, this is the place for you.

I do not venture out south very often, but I was pleasantly surprised. This establishment is clean, very big with huge vents above all tables. The staff has a little trouble with English, but they are very attentive and accommodating. These guys offer $15.99 all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ and it's a smoking deal! A list of about 10 meat choices with everything from cube steak, to short ribs to octopus. I happen to love pork belly and theirs was much leaner then most places which is great. Palace offers a good banchan selection and they are not stingy about refilling them.

I came here with my friend for the all you can eat BBQ. One thing about this place is that it is definitely cold, although it begins to even out when they bring you a nice hot cup of barley tea while you look over their menu. You can choose from a selection of meats and seafood they have from beef to short ribs, and if you indecisive, then you can ask for the variety plate that comes with seafood (shrimp and baby octopus) along with beef, pork, chicken, and tongue. A warning though, their meat and seafood is frozen beforehand, but other than that, it's fresh while it is at that semi-thawing stage. A lot of side dishes and rice (you can ask for brown or white) came with the meal. Typical staples such as kimchi, radishes, bean sprouts marinated in sesame oil, pickled zucchini slices, mashed potatoes, and wild weed come unlimited. Two other things that were new are this steamed egg in a bowl and soy bean soup with cubes of tofu. Both came out piping hot. The broth was a bit sour while the eggs are really fluffy! The service was a bit slow, but you can always get their attention with the call button located on every table. You have to cook everything on the plate of raw meat before they give you a new one. We were appreciative that they'd change our grill when it became a little too dirty without being asked. Stuffed to the brim, we were happy and full when were left. We will definitely come here again!

When we went the place was poppin'! There was a long line at the door but luckily most of those people were part of two large groups. Since my party consisted of just my husband and I they sat us pretty quickly at one of the booths. A couple of tips would be if there is no one at the podium to greet you, look for the sign in sheet to the left of it and go ahead and add your name and number in your party. They try to be very efficient and let you sign yourself in. They are also hiring for host/cashier so that may be another reason why you have to sign in yourself. Another tip is that there is a service button on every table. If you think they are ignoring you, they aren't. When they are not too busy they will stop by your table more often, but when they are balls to the wall packed, be sure to press the button when you are ready. Price wise, your probably going to want to get the $16.99 all you can eat BBQ selection. Even if you know you only want one thing from the selection, the prices for the individual item is usually higher than just getting the special. They serve tofu soup that has a peanut undertone along with the special too, but if you don't want it, just let them know so they don't waste it. My husband wanted soup though so it worked out perfectly for us. My favorite item is the ribs. Most of the things they have may or may not be marinated, but I usually add some soy sauce while it's grilling anyways. The soy sauce is light so you don't have to worry too much about it getting too salty. Another thing I like to add is sesame oil. You have to ask for this and you may have to ask a couple of times. I don't know if she forgot or couldn't hear / understand me the first two times, but when she walked by and heard me mentioning to my husband that I like to add it, she was like, "Oh! SESAME oil!" like a like just went off. Be warned that they add salt o the oil so use it sparingly. I like to lay out the meats on the plate provided and spread the oil and soy sauce (not both on the same things! Made that mistake and it was too salty) on them before placing them on the grill. If it's not busy, they will come by from time to time and play chef for you, but I like to do it myself so I don't mind when they are busy and can't. There are a couple of things I love when it comes to Korean food, and I just can't seem to get it here, so it's not 4 stars for me, but they are a solid joint with decent prices and good consistency, and I would totally go there with a larger group of friends over many other places when given the chance.

I came here on a Monday night- let's keep in mind i came w/ 2 grown ass men w/ an apetitie. 14.99$ for all you can eat meat- Awesome deal. Food- it was really good! you had the usual asortment of meats including shrimp and a baby octopus. lol. They gave you tofu soup, salad, and of course the side dishes. But. . . the reason why i only gave them 3 stars was they're service was pretty bad.. the Korean lady w/ the blonde hair- RUDE. It's all you can eat- so we ordered another plate- Blondie said "Are you sure you can finish that", " I think you've had enough". Are you kidding me?!? I want to go back since the food was good- let's just hope she's not working when i return. . .

You have to go here prepared to eat!! I went with a bunch of meat lovers and we had a great time...a little more challenging for the vegetarians in the crowd. You cannot go wrong if you get the All You Can Eat special. I think it was previously $14.99, but has since been increased to $15.99. And not only is it well worth it, but you will likely not finish the food provided. We didn't even have to ask for more because the food was so abundant. So, what do you get: beef (marinated short rips, tender beef, marble brisket), pork (really juicy pork belly - both a spicy and non-spicy type), chicken (boring!), and seafood (prawns, octopus). So much food that comes out in 3-4 waves...and the food comes quickly. Regarding set-up, I shared a booth with 3 other people. In the center of our table, there is a round grill. The staff will get things going and place large volumes of meat on the grill and then you flip the meat and cook it to the level of wellness you like. It can sometimes be challenging to make sure you don't use raw meat/contaminated chopsticks, but you'll figure it out. There are a couple of different sauces on the table to dip your meat into or you can wrap it into lettuce leaves for an extra crunch. We also ordered the pan-fried Korean-style pancake loaded with green onions. Really, really good. Probably less healthy because it is fried, but definitely worth getting. The vegetarians at the table got the bibimbap which they enjoyed +/- seafood added. We also received the complimentary small dishes of kimchi, tofu, etc. Prices were reasonable. I've been to some expensive Korean BBQ places and Palace was considerably cheaper overall. Arguably worth the "long" drive from Seattle to Federal Way. Stop at H-Mart if you are in the area. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Water glasses were frequently refilled. They were more than happy to accommodate the vegetarians in the crowd. Huge parking lot, so no street parking needed. Quiet and welcoming atmosphere. If I am in the area and am primed to eat large volumes of beef, I would definitely go back. I would also consider going back if I am slightly less hungry for a rice or noodle dish. Everything looked and smelled really good!

Came here for dinner a week ago and just felt underwhelmed. The price is great 14.99 for all you can eat Korean bbq but I don't think all you can eat is for me. The bulgogi was delicious and so what the Kalbi but i wasn't to impress with the other items. I also ordered the kimchi tofu soup spicy but it came out sour which was soo gross. One of the server was super friendly and awesome. She helped cook our food for us and came back with whatever we requested with a quickness. It is kind of a far drive but I guess it can be worth it for those who want all you can eat. I much rather go to BCD.

ALL YOU CAN EAT KOREAN BBQ FOR $15. I'll let that echo in your head for a second. No this is not a lunch time price, this is their standard dinner price. For $15 you are treated to unlimited kalbi, beef tongue, spicy pork, brisket, bbq chicken, shrimp, and a few others on top of your standard banchan. The quality of meat was average, but the price made it taste that much better. The service was on point as our server was constantly filling our waters, changing our grill, and taking our orders for more meat.

  • Cameron L.

The food quality was kind of bland.... maybe it was because we didnt know what we were doing but there wasnt much flavor and the only thing we got was some garlic and soy sauce. I would recommend the spicy pork , pork belly and tender beef. Those were some of the only things we liked. They said they had jumbo shrimp but they were just little regular shrimp. I did like all the small plates they brought out like kimchi and tofu soup and this egg thing. The service was also very good. The girl always asked if we wanted more meat and always changed the grill when it got too dark. We had the all you can eat bbq but seriously, I dont think we got our moneys worth because its kind of hard to eat all that meat with just lettuce and rice. But if you really love your meat then this is the place for you! Overall service was great, but food was just not for us.

Lived in FW all my life, then moved to LA 2 years ago, where AYCE KBBQ in K-town pretty much became my primary source of protein. So I guess I'm not new to this game. So back in FW visiting, I went to Goong with my friends the other day, and was shocked at this $15 AYCE dinner... Since when does FW have stuff like this?? And I was pleasantly surprised that it was actually really decent. AYCE meat + dwenjanggook + steamed egg + rice, all as expected. Service was ok. I would give 5 stars if the quality of food and service was better. But they definitely know what they're doing!

Ive been here three times. The first time was okay but service was lacking. Still the lunch deal was really good so we went back a second time. The second time service still sucked but we had all you can eat and it was a good deal so we went a third time. Third time was the last time. There was a dead cockroach underneath a napkin by the window. Didnt want to make a scene so quietly told the waitress who just gave us a dirty look. Seriously! Anyway no mention of that or even an offer of 10% off or anything. Never going back.

I went there with my family and we ate A LOT! It was unlimited meat, crazy!!! The only thing that disappointed me was the side dishes, i didn't really like the ones they made. The only thing I liked was Kimchi and salad was alright. I would def recommend people to go there if they have no other options or probably try to research more...

Maybe that was Friday evening, I think the they were too busy to take a good care of us. The sauce plates were put on the table with bottom soaked up with the sauce. Nobody was coming to refill the tea. Plus, not so friendly.... Food is fine. All you can eat meat.

This place must be hit or miss. I came here with a group of 10 and the table we got was split down the middle by a dividing wall, so it felt like we were split up. Their meat quality was not as good as the other Palace BBQ's I've been to. Their banchan selection was very limited. We only got 4 side dishes. I actually heard this place was supposed to be the best of the three, but not on the night I went. Oh well. I'll try it again to see if it improves.

The food was amazing here. I don't think I can tell you how AWESOME the food was. I've been in Korea before and this hit the spot. Very authentic and being one of the only white guys in the restaurant sure does take me back! I'd have to say the only thing I didn't like about this place was the service. The waiter serving us practically ignored us half the time and after we were seated ( I immediately knew what I wanted ), took about 10 minutes to come back to us to get our order. This place wasn't very crowded ( For a Monday there were more people than I would've thought ), but he just took forever. Didn't fill up our drinks or ask for anymore and finding him on the floor was a challenge in itself. Then they had trouble at the end of the night loading the paper into the cash register which took another 10 minutes :( So, great food, lousy service. I hope next time I go here they make me improve the stars because I think they deserve more. More to follow! ^ ^ Just a note, I was at the one in Tacoma not Federal Way. Just wanted to put that out there :)

For $15, all you can eat, great variety of meats and sides, you cant go wrong! The quality of meat is pretty good and the price makes it taste better. On a busy night the service is slow. It helps to speak Korean and get those ajummas attention. But its totally worth it! Its great that they have one in Bellevue too, much closer.

ALL YOU CAN EAT + BARGAIN? My favorite food is Korean BBQ and this place never fails! Only $16 for three different type of choice (meat or seafood) I recommend trying the spare ribs. If you're a meat lover, Korean food lover or just a food bargain lover, try this place!

Yeppers. $14.99 - all you can eat bbq. How could anyone complain?? Although, I don't know how anyone could consume more than two plates of meat. The food is good. The place is clean. The service is mediocre. It could be better. The waitresses could be more pleasant. Example, the waitress dropped my napkin and didn't bother to pick it up or give me another one. Also, most of the waitresses speak very poor english. Anyway, I'd come here for the never-ending kbbq!

  • Food L.

Yes it's true. $14.99 for all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ. We stayed for many hours, trying to try as many items, and also to repeat what we liked!! I thought the thinly sliced beef (cha-dol-bae-gi) was the best! I also ate buckets of salad to go with all the protein... Side dishes were great as well!! I do want to go back, but I have to make sure I go in very hungry!! Eh, the service is not the best, but they do have a bell to get their attentions. Make sure you ask to switch the grill time to time. But the food made up for the lack of service quality!!! Therefore 5 stars!! :)

The day we went to this restaurant the AC unit was out so it was very hot especially when we're all trying to enjoy our Korean BBQ. It would have been more reasonable if they at least have a fan or something going but w.e. The food was good, there was ALOT of meat to be grilled. I really enjoyed the food but It wasn't my favorite place to eat at.

the first time we came here it was pleasant. so we dicided to take our friends come here and eat. we have a group of 8 people and one person is a vegetarian and we told the girl that took us to the table. once we ready to order meat. we told her we like a little bit of everything to try. she told us if we can't finish it we have to pay $5 extra each. we said fine. later one of the meat is gone and we asked for more. she told us that we have to finish all of the other meat first before we can ask for more. isn't this like a buffet? why the hell she told us what can we eat now or later? why can't i eat the meat that i like? when we ready to pay and they asked how many people and we said 7 and one just eat rice and vegetable. they don't believe us and ran and got another waitress to conform. and the waitress don't remember or recall. she told us next time we got to let her know. we said we told the girl that took us to the table. they said that girl left. is it our fault that we already told the girl and now she left? that's rediculous. the bill come out to $170 and they charge us 18% for the tip, which is $29 dollars. i don't mind tipping but service is horrible. if i have a choice they get 1cent. I WON'T BE BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN.

This place was amazing! We went on a Tuesday night. It was my husbands birthday and we were going to be Federal Way for something else so I did a google search for restaurants in the area the night before. This place came up and husband likes kbbq. It had good reviews on google and yelp, so I decided to look at their web site. I thought it looked nice and the prices were good. When we got there they asked if we were there for the all you can eat. We had no idea they did that, so we said sure! We have only been to one other kbbq, but it was nothing like this place. All the tables here have grills right in the middle of the tables. There was a list of about 9-11 different meats/cuts for the all you can eat. We asked for everything but 2 items. They brought out the kimchee and other sides along with salad/lettuce and our drink orders. Then the meat. They brought half out at first and put it on the grill for us.Once they saw we were nearly done with the first half, they brought the second half. Some perks worth mentioning: -waitresses are very attentive and friendly -they helped cook the meat if we wanted the help (place on grill, turn meat, cut meat, etc.) -there isn't just one waitress for your table so you can ask any of them for anything -really great price we paid either $14.95 or $15.95 -It was the most tender meats I have ever had, and great flavors! We glancd at their full menu too and it all looks so good! We will be bringing friends and family and anyone else that wants to go back with us! We loved it!

Ate here for the first time today. Great korean food with good quality BBQ. I really enjoyed the cold buckwheat noodle soup and my sister had the soft tofu soup which she also liked. Reasonable pricing, especially the lunch menu! Ill be coming here again! :D

PROS: If you go for the buffet ($14.99) then it is a great place to go. The have varying banchan, provide jigae and the boiled egg dish and a nice dessert drink. CONS: If you go for any other kind of meal, your wait will likely be long, the service not so good, and the bulgogi a bit lacking. NOTE: I am half Korean...so I have pretty high standards for Korean food places.

I was craving Kbbq. unfortunately im from out of town and it has to be 2 or more people for all you can eat. but i got a lunch special instead and it did not dissapoint you get a whole lot of food for under 10 dollars and it was great. service was ok if your not picky. If you ask for something theyll bring it just dont hesitate to speak up! Im used to going to Korea town for kbbq in LA, Ca. and this place felt just like home.. hahaha .. no really it was delicious and you still get The bimbambap or however you say it with the lunch which is great.

it was good. i mean really good. when we got there it was an odd meal time, so there weren't many folks. i don't know about other times, but we got lots of attention and service was good. we had pretty much every kind of meat possible. i liked the non-bone two beef ones the best. it's $14.99 for all you can eat among 8 or so different kinds of meat. dead animal everywhere. peppers and charred little garlic pieces everywhere too. so good. lots of great side dishes. wash it all down with a tall cold Hite. good stuff! the drive is a bit far for me. go check it out. hot water in the bathroom takes a while, but otherwise just fine. i think i could give it 4.5 or 5 stars considering the company i had and the overall satisfaction, but that might be too subjective. it's good though. really good.

My husband, my sister, and I were driving around to find a great korean bbq to eat at. We randomly found it :P. Lucky eh? The service is great :D They cooked for us and I picked up how they did it quickly being a master chef at home.^^ If you're new and can't cook, it's alright. They have a call button (if u complained about the service, try looking for the button? ^^ ) . 5 stars for service :) The food was.. AWESOMEE!! Can't beat unlimited salad, meat, and sides! They lay out an array of kimchi, jalepenos, seasoned veggies, etc. They also gave us individual rice bowls, soup, and this tangy soysauce dip which tasted REALLY GOOD. The best thing about this place is that your food NEVER gets cold :) u just pluck it from the grill that's less than a foot away from you and BAM it's like a flavor parody :D! They also serve a yummy ginger sweet dessert. Did I mention they have some tasty corn tea? U can make tea outta anything these days. It was very very delicious indeed. And the room wasn't as cold as other reviews said. It was room temperature to us. TRY IT! I promise you, you will NOT regret it. U must! I mean it! GIT IN YO CAR AND GOGOOGOGOOO :)

All you can eat pork bellies?! That's all I need to here. If the place gets busy you don't get service at all, although they had a help wanted sign on the door so probably just short handed. Food is delicious, sides are refilled, and BBQ plate is replaced often so you don't get burnt food.

I dont see the point of a place like this where you have to constantly CONSTANTLY keep asking for more food. We went right when they opened on a saturday yet it took them soooooooo long to keep coming back to us. There was five of us with a small child and the baby kept pressing the grill button off but besides that the food wasnt that special. They had lemonade but there were no free refills even though that was the best thing to drink. They didnt know english well and when i asked them if there were refills on the drinks she misunderstood what i was saying and charged us for all the lemonades. As for the meat we kept buzzing the button for them and noone would respond. They seemed annoyed with us. I didnt get the point. They acted like they didnt want to bring us any more meat and they didnt explain to us all the different types u could get. Plus they just keep bringing meaT ONLY and NOTHING ELSE. and when i say nothing ELSE i mean nothing ELSE....none of the seasonings none of the sides.......OMG....its such a waste. you cant make a complete meal with this type of thing. i didnt enjoy it at all.

Went with Korean friends and had a great time. Went again with NON Korean friends, as I had been so excited and bragging about the place. We even drove 45 minutes to get there. Service was shit... wait staff was rude. Refused to refil the drinks, the sides and we waited 20 minutes each time after pressing the button for service. IT wasnt that busy and I think they were rude because we are bigger people and we were not Korean. Will NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. Left shill hungry, after they brought less plates of meat than people in our party! RUDE

let me start with the bad because there is only two things wrong with this restaurant. 1 it's in federal way and if you don't have gps it's hidden away around other buildings so it's very hard to find. strike one 2 no free dessert. what no oranges or nun of my sweet rice drink oh so sad. strike two now the things I like about it. 1. there selection seem to be bigger then Tacoma's. what I mean by selection is there ban chan. more items. more definitely does not mean better but here it does because more means more selection and better taste. single 2. service. the waitress here are 100 times more attentive then the one in Tacoma. they refilled my water five times. for me that's unheard of. they brought extra ban chan. they brought more rice. they brought out the egg souffles and the bean paste stew. (both complementary and neither burnt) they brought even a new grill half way through out our queuing. double 3. taste the food here just seem fresher. the food is bright and flavorful. it does not have that used up feel in the restaurant. triple 4. more room to BBQ. when your with family you don't want to share tables. last time I went to the palace in Tacoma I had to share a table because no other place to sit that had a BBQ in the middle of the table. home run I have to say this is a great Koran food experience. keep it up I'll be back looks like the away team beat my home team but if I do remember I always like the away team better anyways. if it wasn't for the two small things I mentioned I'd give it five stars and trust me I might get over those anyway. I guess I'm driving to federal way when I want Korean BBQ. don't try it unless your willing to get addicted. once your addicted you can't stop. you'll become a Korean BBQ zombie. but what away to go ohhhhhhh

My friends had been telling us about this place so we finally decided to give this place a try. This place is a converted Jimmy Mac's so the decor doesn't match the restaurant. Add in the bar area which is equipped with LCDs pumping out NBA playoff basketball, an electronic dart board and four or five regulation size beer pong tables, and this place is definitely unique. But if you've read some of my other posts, I could care less how this place looks only how the food tastes. On the dining side of this facility, we were seated at a typical Korean BBQ table with the huge fan overhead and cooking element in the center of the table. We ordered the buffet which comes with an assortment of meats and all the little side dishes. I'm not Korean so I don't know all the names of things and the food they bring out. I recognize some things from when my Dad would cook for us as kids so even though it's two totally different cultures, it seems familiar. I digress. The food is good. Nothing truly remarkable but very good given the price. The service is what I expect from a Korean restaurant - indifference. They don't snub you but if you don't speak up, you'll be waiting a while. Just understand that you're not a priority when you go in and you'll enjoy the experience a little more. The price was only $15 and we were there just under two hours. The food isn't as good as you might find at another Korean restaurant but for the money, I definitely recommend trying it out. We'll be back for sure.

Bought a deal on group-on and it said valid for all you can eat but the restaurant would not honor it. Of course we ended up paying for the full price. Food was OK but certainly far from authentic Korean.

We went there for kimchi jjigae on a Saturday night (because Kokiri was temporarily closed). We didn't have a good experience. The food was fine, but the service was terrible. The servers, food-runners, and bussers were hurried, stressed out, and distracted, struggling to keep up through a dinner rush. When we arrived, the place was mostly empty. They seated us at a BBQ table without bothering to ask if we would be having BBQ. Then, when the server came to take our order, we ordered stews, and were told to move to non-BBQ table where we had to wait several minutes to order again. We absolutely did not mind switching tables, but after taking our order they could have put it into the kitchen rather than making us start over at a new table as if we had just walked in the door. By this time, it was getting busier. After we ordered a second time, our food took a really long time to arrive. BBQ tables seated after us were served long before us. The service was a disaster. Simply getting anyone's attention for a tea refill took much more patience and effort that should be necessary. The jjigae was fine - a little bit too salty, but nicely spicy. The banchan included eggplant, kimchi, steamed broccoli, pickled radish, pancake, and bean sprouts - all good. However, it's hard to focus on and enjoy your food while having to ask repeatedly for everything. While the food was decent, it did not come close to making up for the poor service.

First time at a Korean BBQ place, with the full-on grill in your table. $15 all you can eat! My family feasted. Beef, chicken, squid, octopus, shrimp... Meat was good, though really I had nothing to compare it to. Little side dishes were good too, though again had nothing to compare to.

My girlfriend and I came here on a Friday night to celebrate her new job. Neither of us had been to a Korean BBQ before, so we were excited to try something new. We go there and the host told us it would be about a 10 minute wait for the BBQ. Not a problem, we waited about 10 minutes then were shown to our seats. I explained to the host and our server that we had never been here before, but they didn't seem to care. Our server took our order (I guess) and came back with a dozen different bowls of typical Korean fare. I had no idea what I was eating, and not one time did anyone take the time to explain how this was going down. For anyone else who has not been to a Korean BBQ, it is all you can eat, and you order from a selection of meats. They bring them out to you raw, and you cook it yourself on the grill in the middle of the table. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best either. The stuff they brought in the bowls was hit or miss. There was a good potato salad, and soup that I could actually tell what I was eating, but I didn't care much for the other stuff. It was almost all pickled, and I am not a huge fan of vinegar. Overall, the experience was not enjoyable, and we will not be back. The food was mediocre at best, and the service was nonexistent. If you have a friend that can go with you and explain how and what to do, it might be worth checking out. Too bad.. I'm sure our experience would have been much better if someone had taken just a few minutes to explain a few things.

i came here with my sisters and the experience is quite different from the first time. maybe because we beat the dinner rush. so when you get here, you will get to choose 5 different types of meat to start. i really enjoyed the pork belly and the thin sliced meats. i love how they have a variety of side dishes and salad for the AYCE. i wouldnt recommend the brown rice though.

I've been to both this location and the one in Bellevue. The one in Bellevue had a more upscale atmosphere, but this location still offers the lunch specials on select entries. Cheap and good eats. I also tried their BBQ platters and for around sixty bucks, not bad. You leave this place full, content, and very satisfied. The food and the side dishes rocks. This place used to be some fancy BBQ place, and serving Korean BBQ seems a bit out place and winter days can be drafty, but it makes the Korean soups all the more tasty. I go back frequently when I'm in town.

I went there with a friend on a Saturday evening. It was jammed but we were still seated promptly. We ordered the all-you-can-eat BBQ, just the beef, chicken and shrimps. It was pretty good, the server gave us what we ordered, both times and was quite friendly to accomodate our order well. My only downfalls would be the banchan and soups (not quite tasty or special as expected) and the meat wasn't as tasty as Shin Sung. Next time I'll probably go there instead.

Food was good. Service was great until they pretty much kicked us out. We weren't done dining when the server came over gave us our bill and never came back. We realized they did this because there were other guest waiting. We had only been there for 45 mins. I was super disappointed.

This place is awesome! Best place I've been for Korean BBQ! All you can eat.. I'm saying no joke! The service is awesome. They have this one buzzard thing and press it then your wait-staff will come! Try out their Asian beers! It's delicious! Their side dishes aren't that great but the meat is extravagant!

Amazing, one of the nicer Korean BBQ places in the greater Seattle area. Took my family here for my sisters birthday, and it was great. Really good service, and buffet menu was great, we had 6 people and it worked out well. Place was packed on the Friday nite we went. overall a great restaurant.

The only yakiniku place in Washington that I'm aware of. Not bad of a place. They give you tons of food---all you can eat buffet for $15.95 per person and you get to choose up to five types of meat each order. The sides aren't that great but the meats are decent had better of course but that was in Hawaii!!!

Went here on friday and it seems they removed the required 15% gratuity. Not sure if is completely removed or just because we had a difference server???? just fyi!

I've eaten here twice and both meals were very good. The lunch menu has some great values. The "palace bento" is a steal! For $8 I got the best bulgogi I've ever eaten and more sides than I could finish. The kimchi is excellent. Next time I'll try the barbecue--it smells like they use real charcoal.

This was somewhat the first time experiencing korean bbq. The place was freezing cold as the hot tea that was served became cold after 15 minutes. Lots of banchan but not as appetizing. The waitress kept on coming to our table and messing with our meat. We liked it to be in big pieces before we but it into smaller bits. $14.99 per person for all you can eat bbq is a good deal. Make sure to know your likes of meat and clear off plate before you request another helping. i guess i will be on another quest for a korean bbq place to try.

This is one of my favorite spots now! Me and my friend checked it out one night and we were both hooked. ALL YOU CAN EAT KOREAN BBQ!!! So many meat/chicken choices...I could've stayed there all night if my stomach would let me. $14.99!!! One of the best deals in town. Luckily my friend likes to cook, so I just chilled, ate, ate some more, and ate some more again. My advice though...only go with a maximum party of two people...the grill isn't that big, so if you had a party of four...the cooked meat will go fast and you have to keep on waiting for the other meats to cook.

Went here for the first time a couple of days ago. I've always loved korean bbq buffets, and I realize that the food won't be as good as a non-buffet, but I was pleasantly surprised nevertheless. They even have shrimp, squid, and baby octopus (don't eat the heads) on the menu. The meats were good as well although I wasn't a fan of their bulgogi (too much marination). Service was good as well; they looked understaffed, but we got everything we asked for promptly, and they even came over and cut up the grilled items for us. Definitely will come back for their $15 all you can eat buffet.

This place is better than the Palace in Bellevue. The meat was good and the sides of pan chan probably had 7 different varieties. They even serve a soup along with the meal. The service was pretty good that night because they changed our grill 3 times, however it took them a while to refresh our pan chan. I will need to hit the gym before my next visit because I got stuffed.

Very clean and bright inside. Service was exceptional. Food was above average compared to most Korean restaurants we have eaten at. No complaints on this place.

Great deal for Korean BBQ, $14.99 for all you can eat! I will second another reviewer's comment that the shrimp is a bit off in it's flavor though, like it's not fresh (minus one star). Everything else is great though.

It's always a good deal to pay $15 for a Korean BBQ buffet. But the quality at this place is just not that great. The pork is well marinated and taste great. Every thing else is just o.k. They're not properly marinated, so it's really lacking in flavor. Also, they give a bowl of salad for the buffet. I'd prefer Korean BBQs that give whole lettuce so I can wrap the meats with it. The service is hit and miss. For example, my friends ordered a plate of meat before I arrived. When I asked for some chicken, the waitress told me we had to finish the plate before she will bring anything else to us. What kind of shit is that? When I asked another waiter, he brought some chicken over. This is the fourth time I've eaten here. The food is not great. But it's about the only Korean BBQ restaurant in this area. I'd eat here again if I'm in the neighborhood. But would not go out of my way to eat here.

We never come all the way to Federal Way usually, but since we were on our way back from Oregon, we decided to stop in for some chow! Palace was recommended by a Korean friend of ours and it's pretty good value for what you get! The restaurant is clean albeit dark, which made it really hard for us to tell when things are done cooking! We got the all-you-can-eat deal ($14.99/person) and got a nice selection of meats to choose from (short rib, bugolgi, pork belly, shrimp, squid, & spicy pork were the ones we selected). Everything was fairly good - the short ribs were up to par, the bugolgi was marinated in something that's not typical, so it was a bit off. The pork belly was a bit "porky", whereas the shrimp and squid were tasty! The spicy pork, however, was not spicy at all and doesn't taste like the regular spicy pork you get everywhere else. There were A LOT of side dishes . . . at first I was like, wait, we didn't order that . . . you get all the traditional kim chee dishes, a huge bowl of salad, soup, steamed egg, and your choice of white or brown rice! Whoo . . . for the price, it's a great deal! I'm so glad there's a location in my neck of the woods too!!

Really awesome food, it's so much better than the one in Bellevue. They have a good selection of high quality pan-chan. I especially like the dishes that they use - real glass, unlike most Korean restaurants which are all plastics. The meat are so fresh and nicely marinated. The fat to meat ratio is just perfect. This could easily be the best Korean restaurant in the Seattle area.

WARNING! Do not order both All you can eat (plus, it's 15.99 now) and off the menu unless you want them to count you all under All you can eat. We were in the Federal Way branch today and only 3 of us wanted All you can eat, and the rest ordered tofu hot pots. We specifically told them how many people wanted All you can eat. The 3 guys went through the two plates of meat they got and were done. When we got the bill, they charged seven of us with All you can eat, and were only willing to reduce it to 4 All you can eat. They didn't tell us at the beginning about this. They said, ok, some of this is our fault and some is yours. I replied, which part is our fault? But their English wasn't great and you just get all frustrated. It was such an unpleasant experience and it's sad that charging us that extra $15.99 means our entire family and friends won't ever go there again...that's also pretty bad business sense.

If you have $15, and you're looking for an all you can eat BBQ!? Well roll down the red carpet and walk in to the Palace to stuff your belly! The service is terrible...... but the thought of having ALL YOU CAN EAT Spare Ribs gives me a STOMACH ORGASM!!! The Pork Belly and the Marinated Tendered Beef are also at the top of my list. The assorted sides, salad, and soup comes along with the meal but it is just mediocre. This place is a "Quantity over Quality environment," so that's why I'm giving 4 Stars.

Love this place. You will smell like a BBQ after all said and done. We go here for a good Korean food fix. We love their all you can eat for 14.99! They serve all sorts of meats and little dishes. The service is all right. They try to help BBQ by cutting the meat and putting it on the grill. They check every once in a while to see if your grilll needs changing. Our favorite is the marinated beef ribs. Heck! You can marinade me in that stuff too! We order a few rounds of those. Sooo good. I can't wait to go back. On the weekends, this place gets pretty busy (of course)

All you can eat meat and grill by yourself. This place gets very busy that staff might not come right to you so make sure when they walk by speak to them. Other than the meat, price for other dishes are pricey. Atmosphere is very loud. But overall if you craving for meat go check this place out.

First time for me last week with a party of 8 people. Accommodated no problem. We had a great time BBQing and all you can eat. Sat down right away. Waitress was quick on serving us. Refilled our food. Not smokey. Even took the time to change the grill for us. GREAT PLACE. Can't wait to go back again! I am craving kalbi!!!! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

My wife and I had the all you can eat BBQ. I thought the quality of food was pretty good for what you pay. However, the service was pretty awful. We got seated and didn't get waters for about 10 minutes. Getting refills on meat took forever (they weren't even busy). We were never checked up on. The list goes on. I want to like this place because it is a good deal and good food. I'll give it another shot and hopefully will have a better experience.

The sides are pretty good compared to a different place I went to near by. Believe it or not the seafood tofu stew was not hot enough for me, the egg didn't even cook, it was all slimy after leaving it sit there for awhile. Yuck! lol The water tasted like freeze burned ice, which was not cool. The staff was friendly though and I did receive food pretty fast.

I heard from my cousin about this place of their "All You Can Eat" deal for only $14.95 so I decided to give it a shot. Their hospitality was alright, not really that great. Got seated down asap so that was the only plus. This place is great for people who's hoping to just grub on some good meat and save more for their wallet. However, I am only giving this place 3 stars because when I was done with dinner with a friend, I gave a $5 tip to be nice (despite their mediocre service), the lady who rang us up had the audacity to ask for more tip. She took the pen from me and circled the "gratuity" amount which was a few dollars more. I honestly wouldn't mind giving a few dollars more if they had great service but it's the fact that it was only a friend and I so they shouldn't even charge us with gratuity along with the fact that we did tip you guys so why are you asking for more? I would only come back here just for their low price of AYCE Korean BBQ on days that I can tolerate bad service but other than that, I wouldn't.

I really like this place. The food and drinks are great. The employees generally really nice too especially the bartender. I really like and recommend the bibimbap and rice cake. The only reason for a four star is because twice now I have not been served at all at the bar on slow days.

Came for dinner and the place was fairly busy. We were new to the Korean BBQ style of eating and they were very nice and helpful in explaining how it all worked. We ordered the all-you-can-eat BBQ, and had an assortment of shrimp, beef, and pork. The meat was all amazing. The sides that came with it were very distinctly Korean (lots of kim-chi) of which I'm not a large fan. Service was excellent, the place was clean (if somewhat cold) and nice.

I met a group of friends in the bar at Palace last night and we had a great time! The bartender was very attentive and friendly, the noise and activity level were just right... great prices on beer too! Lots of fun, we'll be back.

Even though the signs and advertisements all say unlimited food, it is super hard to wave down the waitress and or waiter to ask for more meat. They charged for everything, from soup to lettuce wraps! This place used to be good but not anymore. The price, service, and food definitely went down!!

The food is great but don't expect a good customer services here. I wanted my bean paste sauce and I almost had to beg for it. I asked her for the first time..she didn't bring it.. I tried to ask her the second time, she passed me.. I had to ask for the third time. She would give the green pepper, garlic and bean paste sauces to Koreans. If you are not Koreans, those and the soup won't come to you as standard. We know we supposed to get soup but they never gave it to us until we asked. We have 6 people and they said only 1 soup per table.. I was WTF? 2 persons come get 1 soup.. 4 ppl come get 1 soup..and 6 ppl come get 1 soup but we all paying the same price. This don't make much sense..but of course the policy never makes sense in Korean restaurants. We were BBQing some meat and my wife wanted to eat some seafood and the lady refused to give us the seafood until we finish the meat. This don't make sense as well. They won't refill your tea unless you asked for it. They won't come and ask you whether you are ok. You have to beg for services and it is slow. The food is good though.

shortly after this place opened, we tried to come for lunch unsuccessfully. they need to hire a real host/hostess. we chalked that first time up to growing pains. we were in a hurry cause one of our friends had to get back to work so we bailed. about a month later, a different group of friends decided to trek down to federal way to try again for dinner this time. we stood in the waiting area/lobby for about 15 min before we were able to grab somebody to let them know we'd like to be seated. the waitstaff walked by and seen us, i know because one of the doors to the kitchen is across from the waiting area. what the heck did you think we were standing there for??? it's not like it was super busy either. strike one for you. what saved it was the food. i have no idear what we ordered but it was a large amount of various delicious meats from both cow and pig. aww yeah. a couple bottles of hite beer and soju later, i forgot why i was mad. i dunno if i'll ever drive down here again especially since they opened up a branch like 5 min from my house. still, if i find myself hungry and stuck in federal way *shudder* i'd hit this joint up in a second. or mebbe kokiri. or mirak. well, i guess i'll choose when the time comes.

My wife and I had the all you can eat and it was great! I was brave and tried the octopus but it was a little rough to eat...saltwater. This is not their fault, just my wussy-ness. great sides like radish daikon and kimchi. Staff was good to us, and I'm sure it was obvious we were rookies. Soju was good too. Atmosphere was a little dark but not unpleasant. It's not cheap but for what you get the price is reasonable. We will definitely be going back. Short ribs FTW!

The trademark of this place is the all you can eat Korean style BBQ, which you can cook at the table. You essentially get all the meat and sides that your heart can possibly desire. What I appreciate about this place is the unusual cuts of meat that you don't normally get at other places. In particular, the thin sliced beef tongue, uncured pork belly and cow intestine were a welcome addition. The typical beef was good overall, although the kaibi short ribs had more fat than is optimal. The addition of egg, lettuce to make wraps, kimchee and soybean paste were appropriate and welcome additions with the meat. The quality of the food is not extraordinary, as you would expect from an all you can eat place, but good for the price. The service was typical of an Asian restaurant (indifference), although I will describe one pet peeve from the service we got. The meat you order is brought out raw and cooked on the grill at your table. The waitress was proactive in grilling the meat, coming to our table to put items on the grill. While this is fine, she mixed raw items, and cross contaminated with the already cooked meat. This was particularly a problem with the chicken, where she dripped the raw juice all over the cooked beef, which we essentially had to cook over again. Service is part of what drags my overall ranking down to a 3.

I would actually prefer to give this place 2.5 stars based on the service alone, but the food helped round it up to 3 stars. That's not to say that the food was amazing at this restaurant. We didn't have to stand around forever to be seated, but it took them a while to acknowledge our presence. We almost thought we went through a side entrance with the lack of attention. Like most korean restaurants, Palace requires you to place 2 orders of BBQ in order to cook it yourself. I didn't mind having the chef cook our order in the back, but I did mind the fact that the waitstaff did not bring out lettuce or bean paste with the short ribs. The short ribs were tasty and cooked well, but the side dishes were very average. Some were too tangy (overripe kimchi) and some were just a bit too bland. Overall, it was a decent dinner for the price, but the service leaves much to be desired. The waitress barreled past our table multiple times while avoiding eye contact and thus any requests we had about our water refills and the lack of lettuce, which never appeared. With the abundance of other Korean restaurants in the area, I would hesitate to come back again.

Good lunch menu - well priced, fresh food. The restaurant service is very very hit or miss. The cleanliness of the place is not too bad but could definitely be better. The bathrooms are atrocious and clearly not attended to. We have had the kimchi jigae - good; fried chicken - ok; bibim bahp - pretty good. i don't love this place but it is an ok korean restaurant. better food than the other korean restaurants. i wish it were cleaner.

after hearing from my friend about this place, i decided to take my family here for my mom's birthday yesterday. i must say, it really is one of the best bargains out there right now when you opt for the all you can eat. they bring everything out to your table plus the kitchen sink. it's like they give you the tour of the whole menu. this is what was brought to our table: kimchee, soup, salad, potato salad, steamed eggs and the meat platter filled with tender beef (rib steak), thin brisket, short ribs, spicy pork, teriyaki chicken, octopus, spicy pork, pork belly, intestine, rice and brown rice. i really like the fact that the meats were all delicious, i especially liked the tender beef, spicy pork and the pork belly, even though it was really fatty. i figured, i don't eat this stuff everyday, so it's all good. the service was great, i don't know what some of the reviewers were saying about bad service. you just need to know, if you need service to your table, there is a little button on the table that you push, it's like being on an airplane and ringing the steward button. this place is definitely a great place to go if you love korean bbq. the atmosphere is nice, grill tables and booths everywhere, granite table tops, dark wood and dim lighting except for where the grill is. parking is plentiful at this location since it is in a strip mall. the only reason i don't give it a 5 star is because my mom wanted a cocktail for her birthday and their very large bar wasn't open, i guess the bartender called in sick. also, it's not a big deal, but they didn't honor the $14.99 yelp deal yesterday, so i paid $15.99 a person. be forewarned, you will smell like you've been grilling out in the backyard after your meal, hah hah

On our way back to portland we had to stop by this place because all my korean friends always mention this place due to their unlimited bbq option. So of course we got the unlimited bbq option. Upon entering we were seated right away at one of the tables with the table top stove and was offered water right away. I wasnt sure how to order and asked how it worked. Basically all you do is choose any meat or soup you want and they bring it out on a cart raw where you cook it yourself on the tabletop grill. It was so much fun cooking it and having able to place the kinds of meat you want to cook first. The meat comes out fast too so if you run out of anything, itll only take a moment for it to come out. The service was fantastic, the guy helping us was always checking up on us and adjusting the heat for the grill so that we dont overcook anything. TL:DR do it yourself unlimited korean bbq. Need i say more?

Sometimes you experience something every once in a while that makes you realize it only happened to teach you a lesson, and the only thing you can hope to do is to teach others to not make the same mistake. Eating here was one of those lessons for me, but fortunately it wasn't a broken leg, a crashed car, or a ruined relationship. It was just an awful dining experience that left a bitter taste in my mouth.* I'm only writing about it now in the hopes that it will be cathartic to vent my frustration at how poorly we were treated so I can put it behind me. I understand Korean restaurants don't typically have the reputation for the best of service, but this restaurant absolutely stood out like an oozing sore to someone who is used to (and typically doesn't mind) mediocre service. I have eaten at Korean places all over Washington, California, South Korea, and I've even hit up a New Malden restaurant in the UK , and I have never felt so abused for merely trying to eat dinner. To start, there was no one even to greet us or seat us for several minutes. No big deal, but this should have been signal one that the rest of the experience wasn't going to go our way. Then, for our party of six, we were asked to split up into two tables. I could clearly see a table that would seat six, but they were "closed" for some reason. Again, not a big deal, I figured. We were across the aisle from each other, and at different heights, so it basically made any social interaction difficult, and they treated us like two separate tables. But whatever, let's eat. Ordering was a bit difficult as no menus were provided. Instead the waitress pointed at a placard on the other side of the table and I swear she just grunted. I then picked up the placard, looked at and said "Sure let's get that one". She then told me they aren't serving that today. Okay, fine. Fortunately my future wife had looked at the one menu they had at the entrance and remembered a seemingly enticing combo, so we got that. The food got to us in a reasonable amount of time, which makes sense since it was basically raw meat. Not bad there. Actually eating the food, however, was remarkably difficult because the burners seemed to only half work, and the waitress kept coming by and turning the heat down without so much as a word or a glance at us. It was almost like they wanted us there longer even though we hadn't ordered an "unlimited" plate. Getting even the most basic of requests for my dinner companions was like pulling teeth from the fossilized remains of a pterosaur, which is especially difficult when you consider the pterosaur was toothless. A friend trying to get water was met with actual derision. A utensil was an even higher order of difficulty. I'm sure if we had asked for something like a napkin one of us would have been smacked. Stopping a waitress for a request required getting in their way so they would acknowledge us. There wasn't even the usual pretending not to hear - they would actually look at us, and then turn away and continue to ignore the request. When the end came I had made up my mind to tip 0%. Now understand, I never tip 0%. Even if the only thing you did was pour hot coffee into a cup for me for $0.55, I at least look for a tip jar. From someone who gives 15% for "meh" service and regularly get scolded by my fiancee for tipping 20% or over whenever we eat out, I wanted to give absolutely nothing except to pay for the food. But I was denied even this basic justice because the wait staff had attached an 18% gratuity for the "party of six", even though they had split us into two tables and consequently the bill into two tables, essentially treating us as two separate groups. We were charged an additional $60 for merely stating that we had come through the door together. I pointed out that the way we were waited on was nothing like being in a group. The waitress refused to budge on this matter and even showed me several other bills where she had and was continuing to screw people similarly. I asked to speak to a manager and he or she was "not there". I paid only to leave, but I was angry and left with that bad pit in my stomach similar to the strange violated feeling one has after being mugged. The only difference was in the two instances when I had actually been robbed at gunpoint the criminals had been far more polite than the waitresses at this restaurant. Even so I don't think I can blame the wait staff entirely. Based off of the other reviews I have read here, it looks like the management at the restaurant is incompetent or uncaring and they leave the place understaffed and overworked. When you have stressed out workers they will inevitably pass it onto the customers. It must still be profitable in Federal Way though as they don't appear to have done anything about their poor service. *The food wasn't actually bad/bitter. It wasn't good either. Pretty forgettable actually. Banchan was alright, but it's hard to mess that up

  • Leroy H.

I like the fact that they use a piece of coal to enhance the flavor of the meat. Sometimes you may get a server than brings more food with no attitude and sometimes you have to deal with a server who doesn't want to bring more meat. It's hit or miss. The choices of meat is nice. The banchan choices are good too. The prices have steadily increased over the years, so I would expect that when a request for more meat is made that servers wouldn't be so reluctant to meet requests.

Wanted to take some friends to get KBBQ as a few of them have never been. Near the end we were so frustrated that I wish I could give 0 stars. - There were six of us, waitress sat us down at two separate tables when there were bigger tables available. They weren't willing to accommodate us and we were charged forced gratuity despite being served as two separate tables. - Apparently the only full-sized menu is at the entrance. - Friend asked for a fork - never got it. - had to ask repeatedly for water, waitress wasn't willing to stop by our table and we were forced to wave maniacally. After the fifth time, waitress responds with "okay okay okay, I know I know" very annoyed at us. - The grill temperatures are inconsistent. Ours barely cooked the meat even on high settings. - Asked for sesame oil for dipping shabu in, no sesame oil. - Waitress returned with a single bill before we were finished eating even though we were separated at two different tables. When we asked her to please split the bill, she acted very frustrated. - Asked to see the manager, wanting to ask him something but the waitress snubbed us. We weren't allowed to see him. She treated us like we massacred her family or something. The service was pretty much one of the worst I can remember. It was an hour of frustration and unhappiness. Food doesn't taste good when you're stressed out and I was embarrassed to bring my friends here. My husband usually tips 20-25% and he wanted to give 0.

The Palace Korean BBQ restaurant is only a good place to go if you like flavorless food that so incredibly over priced. My wife and I love Korean BBQ and have eaten at more Korean BBQ restaurants that we can count, from Seattle to LA. This was one of the most disappointing off all. We were excited about the idea of all you can eat, but were immediately put off when we were told that our 8 year old son costs $23.99 like adults. Hmmm, what restaurant in their right mind thinks that an 8 year will eat that much. Fine, we were already here and we were hungry. The food arrive quickly, and was left in front of us while the server walked away. I actually prefer to cook my own food, so I was good with it, but for $24 per person I would expect at least to fill the grill for us like other restaurants do, not just drop and go. Finally, we had finished cooking the first round and we were starving, so we grabbed some of our supposedly marinated beef and pork. Upon that first bite we realized that the meat was so flavorless that no amount of sauce, kimchi, pickles or any other condiment was going to fix it. So, if you like over priced, flavorless food, that you have to manage and cook yourself, then this is the place for you. We have put this on the "Won't ever come here again list" and that says a lot because not many of the 100's of restaurants we have eaten at get on that list. Good Luck

Ive had some bad experiences here which makes me not much of a k-bbq fan but today wasn't all that bad. I went during lunch time so there was not many people here. Even though it was lunch time they charged dinner price because today is labor day. The meat was seasoned well but it depends on how you cook it, and if you're like me who can't cook then I hope you have someone there with you who can cook. The staff was nice today as well. Other than that it was ok.

I used to love this place. But service has deteriorated quite greatly. Its unfortunate, I really do prefer their food over several of the other kbbq places nearby for cleanliness and quality. But the last visit we had here, they gave us this vibe like, "really you're ordering more?" And gave an embarrassed for us kind of smirk... Um I'm pretty sure asking for a different kind of protein isn't a lot and only being the second plate we order is not excessive. It was really rude and my husband was super pissed. He didn't even want us to tip and he wanted to say something about it to their manager. I felt like we should've but we didn't. I'd rather just say it on here. Hope their management sees it because they definitely need an attitude adjustment. We left a 10% tip. Could've been a zero, but being a forgiving server myself, I couldn't leave nothing for the rude 'server' I do regret it though. Anyway, if youre in the mood for good kbbq this is the place. But pay no mind to the service, unless you get one of the old regular servers here that works in the AM shifts, I don't know her name but I can remember her face and she's always given great service.

This place sucked. It was my first time at this restaurant and overall my experience was not that great. I'm from LA and go to so many kbbq places and this was the first time I've only seen 2 waiters for one whole section. Really?! Usually the place has so many waiters all over the place. It took us so long to get seated (no one else was waiting) and we had to wait again for someone to take our order. Also there were so many tables empty but wasn't clean. It was like that for awhile. The waiters were even running back and forth in the restaurant. After we said something, they started coming to us a lot and checking up on us. The food was great and there's a lot of meat to choose from. I was so sad they didn't have rice paper though!!!! The first kbbq place that doesn't serve it booo. Food was good. Service needs help. They have Groupons, but just go to the kbbq place close by where you can get your own meat!

The quality of the federal way palace is pretty good. They recently raised the price up to around 20 bucks but I usually eat a lot so I will still pay. They sadly don't use the charcoals for flavor anymore but the meat is still marinated very well. They recently added a few different things such as pork kalbi which is a sweet and savory much like the normal kalbi. Overall I have gotten fairly good service. Must get- wasabi pickled radish. Wrap that with brisket and get some sesame oil salt to dip in and you have yourself a little piece of heaven all in your mouth.

This is an OK option for Korean BBQ. I appreciate that the staff is competent (there when you need them and not there when you don't), that they put some thought into their website, and that they have ample parking. The meats could be a little saltier and better marinated but they do offer Korean potato salad as a side, which I love.

Service = horrible Ayce kbbq = mediocre Side dishes = meh When we entered the restaurant, about 5 waitress/waiters passed by us without a single acknowledgement and we stood there like we were invisible. About ~7 min later, we were finally welcomed in and led to a seat. I'm from the OC so everything here was being compared to from back at my home. The side dishes were all bland, and the kimchi was eh. The meat was okay quality but it could be by far better. There was only one lady who was a good waitress to us so a star for her.

All I have to say is that this place is MUCH better than the Bellevue location! The food and menu is the same but the customer service and staff is much more friendly and attentive. They make sure your drink is filled and ask if you want more meat more frequently than Bellevue. They also change the plate when it is burnt and that's somethign Bellevue has yet to do for me without asking. I would rather drive out here even though their counter part is closer to me.

I've been here numerous times and I used to love it, but when we went recently to use a groupon, I didn't leave as happy as I usually would. I actually left with a lot of questions. We did all you can eat. It took them forever to actually come around and take our orders for the meat, after taking forever to prepare our grill and give us waters (and we came before the dinner rush.. So...). I asked for brown rice but they gave me white anyway. We got 5 different kinds of meat and they give you pretty good portions! We were full after one round (shameful, I know, but I recently started working out again and I'm working on portion control *crying emoji*). The meat was very yummy! The marination on the spicy pork and regular pork are very good. The short ribs are tedious to eat with chopsticks but the flavor is fed worth it. We asked refills for a few empty side dishes and they came right away. One server in particular was very kind and attentive (enough) so I was happy with her! They change out your grill after you've charred it too much which is nice; the lady was very attentive with our grill. Is it just me or did they raise the prices?! I thought all you could eat was around $22 after tax but we paid like $25! Maybe I'm going crazy, I don't know. Also, all you can eat used to (sometimes... I guess if they felt like it) come with the sweet egg bowl and the soup!? Now there's a weird sign behind the AYCE menu saying it's necessary.. But it never came? I don't know I was confused. They should give out the egg and soup as part of AYCE. I should have asked but I kept forgetting when they came around to check on us lol. I'll post the sign up. You decipher it yourself. Overall, it's a great place if you come at the right time. Service quality is always inconsistent. Prices are way more than I would pay for KBBQ. Great food and acceptable atmosphere/service. Not worth $25 per person. There are other KBBQ places that are just as good and more affordable.

I don't know what happened to this place. I used to love it so much and beg everyone I knew to go here with me. I found a Groupon for this place and I thought it was a great deal. I tried calling the place for someone to explain to me how it worked because I was confused. The person who hung up on me couldn't understand what I was asking, so she hung up on me. I called the second time, then she got so mad, told me to come in instead of keep calling, then hung up again. Like how are you gonna get mad at someone who's trying to get information about something your restaurant is offering????? The next day I thought it was going to be okay to come in and ask about the deal in person. At first they argued with me, but then they said yeah sure sorry about what happened, we could take two Groupons from you guys. We ordered our food but they gave us the wrong meat. We tried ordering what we really wanted but the lady said that we had to finish all the meat we had before ordering again. I mean that sounded reasonable but I mean come on... It wasn't even what we ordered. My friend had to ask for an extra plate about 4 times before he could get it. I don't know about this place anymore. I used to love it, guess I'm gonna have to find a different kbbq place for better customer service.

First impressions: I arrived at Palace (Federal Way Location) with low expectations as it had not been recommended by Korean friends, and yelp only had 3.5 stars Was late afternoon, easy parking but dark. The restaurant was 3/4 full, and had no problems getting a nice table without reservations. Ordered Combo M1 Small. Meat was fresh and of good quality, choice of marinated or unmarinated, so were the veggies, lettuce, etc. Side dishes (banchan) were ok, some really yummy, I specially liked their Kimchi, and rice was cooked to perfection. Also ordered, beef bibimbap, it was superb. The food was great, best Korean bbq I had in Federal Way/Tacoma area. Service was outstanding, and everything was extremely clean, which was a pleasant surprise. Korean BBQ can be messy, they kindly replaced the grill without even asking as soon as it started smoking a bit. Price: unlimited adult Korean BBQ & Seafood for$22.99 per adult, or à la carte. Combo M1(small) was $59.99 enough for 3 or 4 adults Overall was a very nice experience, will definitely recommend this place.

Would have given more stars but i do not enjoy being put on the pay no mind to list because of my color am of Japanese decent and the rest of my party was white every other table of asians was served multiple times and checked on multiple times for water and meat and our table had to wave someone over to help us not to mention we had to get our own water from the bar unacceptable behavior for a restaurant not to mention the add ons to their bar menu white paper taped to the inside of a nice looking menu pretty trashy this place really has gone down hill i will not be coming back here nor will i recommend anyone i know to come here to be treated like this ....

Get the $12 groupon deal for $20 worth of food! My friend and I got the unlimited bbq and used the groupon coupon so our total was not bad at all. Around $25 for 2 with tip. We got there on a weekday around 6PM and it wasn't that busy. But it still took a while to get our meats and side dishes. Then there was a big rush of people around 6:30 then it got super busy. So I would suggest coming in earlier around 5-6pm for better service. The meats were okay. You can't really expect much from a buffet bbq place. It's fun cooking on the grill. My friend and I take turns cooking. I like their dwengjang (soybean) soup that is also unlimited with the buffet! Get their marinated short ribs!

Try the all you can eat Korean barbecue dinner and you won't be disappointed. The food choices are varied and all we tried were excellent. The wait staff are all very pleasant and treat you as an honored guest. We will definitely be back

For $23, all the meat is UNLIMITED. There are many different varieties. I use the house sauce on all the meat and it's so good!! You just need to make sure you finish (or almost finish) all the food you order because there is a $5 charge for leftovers. Order what you can finish! It's usually pretty busy so I would recommend making reservations.

Unlimited Korean BBQ is something that will have people's mouth watering. Nothing beats eating Korean BBQ with good company. Palace is one of the places that offers the unlimited option with a variety of choices. If you're going the unlimited Korean BBQ route then you can use the menu on the side to pick what kind of meats you want. My family's favorites include kalbi (short ribs), samgyupsal (pork belly), gopchang (intestines), and the shrimp. The banchan that is given is pretty decent. There are about 8 or so different banchan dishes to choose from and they seem pretty fresh. They also give you a big bowl of the green onion/salad mixture. It has a nice vinaigrette to it and this is definitely fresh. You have a choice between bean mixed rice (purple rice) or white rice. The pan that they use is not that great. It doesn't cook the meat evenly and the heat/power is not strong enough. There were many periods where I would not be putting food in my mouth because it was taking so long to cook. Kalbi tends to make the pan burn easily so you should cook it last and then ask for a pan switch. The pork belly is one of my favorites but I found that most of the pieces were very fatty rather than meaty. Hence the quality and taste is not that great. The kalbi here is decent but not as amazing as it can be. But I guess if you're going to serve unlimited meat to parties then you probably aren't seeking out the highest quality ingredients. Even though this is limitless meat I found myself liking the shrimp the best. Cooking it on my own helped it to retain and gain some flavor and you can never go wrong with shrimp. Interestingly enough you can get unlimited soybean paste soup here. At most Korean BBQ places you get just one or two depending on your party size. If you are wanting something warm to eat then this will be a plus for you. Speaking of wanting something warm to eat, this place is FREEZING. It's almost as if the roof of this place didn't exist and the breeze was just coming in. I literally had to run to the bathroom because it felt like a sauna in there compared to the dining hall. They need to seriously do something about the inside temperature because it was not pleasant to eat. I was almost too cold to eat anything. The service here is horrendous. There were about 3 times that we were forgotten by our waitress. Each time she would come to us and say "Oh! I completely forgot!" After a few times this gets very tiring to hear and waiting for more meat is hard on the stomach. The waitress also withheld from giving us some of the dipping sauces claiming that we were "too young" and wouldn't like. Excuse me? I am Korean and I would appreciate it if you would give me the sauce that I am used to dipping my meat in. Overall, there are better Korean BBQ places out there. Not a lot have an unlimited option so if you aren't that picky, can withstand freezing temperatures (or just go in and out of the bathroom constantly), and don't mind waiting for service to come to you then this is probably a good price and place to eat. Just come here hungry so that you're paying for what it's really worth.

The AYCE price has gone up again. It was a busy Saturday night, our 20 minute wait turned out to be 35 minutes. Once seated our server came promptly to take our order. But once she found out some of us wanted AYCE and the others wanted to order off the menu she was very bothered. After sighing many times and walking away she finally gathered herself and got to work. Not once was there a smile or 'how's everything'. Our grill wasn't even changed until the smoke coming from it formed a fog around us. The 2 stars are for the food, which was good.

Never had Korean food ever. We love trying new food and supporting local businesses. We went for dinner one weekday evening. The place was empty except for a party of 7 at a distant table 3 tables over. Took over 12 mins to be seated. 23 mins before someone came over to take a drink order. The drinks came 9 mins later. Then waited another 15 mins for someone to come to take our order. We asked the waitress to help up choose dishes that would complement one another, her grimace face and her reply was that she did not speak English. Oh well, it happens - America is a melting pot of people from all over the world. So I point to a bunch of items on the menu that we have no idea what they are or if they even go together. We are a happy couple so we are patient and go with the flow as we look forward to a new experience. Yes --you guessed it. Wait, wait and wait some more for the food. Now we have been in this place for almost 2 hours and no food. Finally the food came. We had no idea what was what, but we take a taste of all the dishes and are hoping for the best. No one else has come in since we were seated. Meanwhile the waitress goes and speaks to the other table of 7 in her language. Someone in the groups says to the waitress "(name) does not speak Korean, you have to speak in English to her. OMG@!!! The waitress speaks English perfectly and we can hear the conversation between her and the girl CLEARLY! Federal Way has a LOT of Korean businesses and we have NEVER been treated as poorly or as rudely as we were at the Palace Korean Bar & Grill. We have never gone back and tell everyone we can. We eat out 5-6 nights a week since we hate to cook. Therefore we spend a good sum on meals out - they have really missed out on what we could have spent had we not be appalled by the staff experience.

The food was alright. Side dishes are not worth eating and all a bunch of other stuff cost extra ( not really all you can eat). They also charge you extra if you have left overs. Would probably not come again.

Probably the best all you can eat Korean BBQ option in the Greater Seattle-area in my opinion, and I've tried as many as I can. SO much better than the Bellevue location in terms of meat quality and service, which are the two biggest factors in AYCE Korean BBQ, next to the banchan (side dishes) and price.

I haven't had Korean BBQ for a while, our choice was the Palace BBQ. Service was wonderful, very attentive. Arrival time for dinner was 430p. All you can eat $23.99 person. Typical meat selection, marinated chicken, short rib, marinated beef, shrimp, Cattle intestines, and etc.. Not much of veggie selection to grill though (although plenty of side dishes). Over all not bad, fair for the price since they have to make a living as well.

It's pretty hard finding a decent kbbq joint living in south seattle. The closest one to me is the palace in bellevue but that place is not my cup of tea. I decided to venture out to federal way to try something new and I came across palace. I was skeptical about it at first but decided to give it a try just because the reviews were better and because I didn't feel like going to the kbbq buffet (which is btw not worth it). I went on a Saturday so I wasn't surprised that there was a wait. The wait was only 10 mins long and the hostess was super friendly. My bf and I did the all you can eat bbq. Everything came out super fast and our waitress was very kind. The sides at this location is much better than the sides at the bellevue location. They were fresh and they even had pickled cucumbers which are my fave!!! I love their soybean paste soup. It's really spicy and flavorful. My bf and I had the brisket, pork belly, steak pieces, kalbi ribs, and some sort of pork... My favorites are the brisket and ribs. Their rice was on the mushy side but I let that slide just because this location is sooooo much better than bellevue's location. The total for two came out to $47. It's a bit pricey but worth it.

Never eat brown rice at BBQ party. White rice is best. It won't take away the taste of meats. Call for meats instead of vegetables. You don't want to waste your money! I recommend marinated beef (Bulgogi) and beef short ribs as a fan of beef. Otherwise, shrimp or squid are ok. And belly pork is good enough for you. (If the spread isn't hot, call the waitress for help. Heat too high or low are both not good for the meats.) Do you know what is the soybean paste? If not, then try!!! :)

  • Leilani A.

This location is not as nice as the Bellevue one. I made a reservation for 8 people and we weren't seated until close to 40 minutes after my reservation time. Then what's the point of a reservation??? They don't have one big table, just two tables side by side next to each other but still separated by a wall. It's hard to get the staff's attention here. I definitely will go to the Bellevue location if I want my Korean BBQ fix.

  • Peter W.

The food was decent. We had BBQ, but the options on the menu were very limited. Be aware that while they claimed that the lunch special unlimited BBQ was $15.99, they only offered the dinner menu at the table. The dinner menu looks almost identical to the lunch menu and they do not inform you about the details. The dinner menu charged $22.99 per person, so we ended up paying for more because of their deceptive pricing/menu placing practice. If you do decide to eat here, please do ask very carefully about all prices unless you want to know what it feels like to be ripped off. Tl; dr: deceptive pricing, don't recommend.

I've been here many times. And now I finally decide to give it a review. I feel like it's expensive for the quality of meat they offer... like I swear I am always having a bad stomach the day after. I'm not sure how I feel about the service. I never thought it was good... and they have been annoying before. The last time I went was just okay, they were still slow even though it was super empty, and even though I'm always very polite they just do not seem happy to be doing their job. Idk, maybe they are having bad days when I'm there lol. My favorite for the all you can eat are the beef brisket pieces. I also like the sauce it comes with and I appreciate the sides and that you can get more if needed. I have also ordered their dubokki before which was pretty good. This place doesn't impress me but it's not too bad either. It's just one of those korean bbq places for when you're really craving it.

I figured there must be a reason this restaurant offers so many Groupons. It isn't that great. We went for lunch. The first impression is the parking lot. It's filthy with garbage and weeds everywhere. The restaurant itself was clean and much larger than it appears from the outside. It took quite awhile for our server to take orders for our drinks. We both ordered iced tea. We were asked if we wanted sweetened or unsweetened. I ordered unsweetened, which is what I received. My friend ordered sweetened and we have no idea what on earth it was. It was clear and sweet. I think it was sugar water. ?? It was removed from our bill without us asking. When I asked what on earth it was, the server (Asian) smiled and acted like she didn't understand me. I never did receive an iced tea refill, which is always cause for a star removal in my system! I ordered the chicken Bento box and my friend ordered katsu chicken. Before we received them, we were brought all kinds of little bowls with various things in them. I could've made a meal out of them. They were the best and most fun part of our visit. When our order came, there was plenty of food, but neither of our meals had much flavor. Meh. I'd asked for brown rice and received purple rice, which I don't mind, but at least tell me when brown rice isn't available. Except for those little bowls, this was a disappointing meal. What's telling for me is that I'm not jumping on the Groupons. I'm just not interested in going back.

This was a good place to go with coworkers for a celebration because we were able to chat while we cooked our meets on the little BBQ in the center of the table. We had both marinated and plain meats that you have an option of dipping in their house sauce. The unlimited lunch buffet ($15.99 per person) comes with lots of little sides like miso soup, rice, kimchi and cucumbers. It was an interesting experience but very one-dimensional flavors and bland. They have two sides of the restaurant: one for the barbecue and the other side you can order off the menu. I will try the other side next time because I'd rather have someone prepare and plate my meal for me.

Misleading advertising at our booth. We paid for dinner pricing at lunch ! We were only directed toward the dinner menu when ordering and were expecting the total to be 16.99 per person. It was my first time here with friends who came to visit but was dissapointed at the level of attentiveness from the waitstaff and explanation of the menu. The quality of meat was decent but not worth the deceiving price that we paid. Minimal refills on side dishes and no refills for our waters. Although it was a good experience eating with friends, the bill left a sour taste and the response of the waitress also didn't seem accountable for misrepresenting the menu.

Good. Not great. It's a in a huge, sprawling building with the BBQ tables on one side and the "regular" tables on the other other. We had bibimbap and Bulgogi soup. The The Bibimbap was nice with a some good crunchy bits. The soup was bland and very greasy. There was a nice variety of banchan. We had the usual Korean restaurant troubles with timing such as dumplings listed as appetizers coming out long after we'd eaten our entrees, and ordered drinks not coming. I don't know why the drink thing is an issue so often at Asian restaurants. The servers were nice though. I'd probably hightail to another place next time I come down to go to Hmart.

I would have given 5 stars but our hostess a Korean lady bout 50ish was mean and you can tell she didn't want to talk to us. Our waiter was nice and gave us good service though. Food was good ol Korean bbq that you cook yourself. Lots of asians / Koreans in there so that speaks for itself.

Considering how few your options are for KBBQ in the Seattle area, this place is okay. Mediocre service and average meat. The grills here seem a bit weak so it's slow to cook a lot of meat at once. It ended up being a total of $30 per person including tax and tip. It's not really worth to going back to, but if you have a craving this place seems to be the best option around here.

The waitress was very friendly, and she was there quickly to help when we needed it. The food (all you can eat BBQ) was a mix of 2 to 4 stars. The beef was a little too fatty, but the marinated pork was great. A friend and I used a Groupon to have lunch, making the value good, but if I had not had the 10.00 savings, I would not have felt it was overpriced. Parking was easy. Kids pricing seemed fair too.

The food is great here. The problem is the service. If it's ALL YOU CAN EAT & you are paying over $20 per person, I really think the wait staff should just keep the food coming and not appear like its a burden to them for you to ask for a refill or more meat to cook. One of the elderly ladies is very rude and unpleasant when asking for anything. I would much rather drive to Bellevue for their Palace Korean BBQ then have to put up with her. A few months ago, my family and I came here for dinner. Half way through our visit here's what happened: Me: can I get a side order of your mashed potatoes & a refill on my drink? Waitress: Yes *waited for over 20 minutes. I saw a guy waiter and asked him and he also said yes. They both came out at the same time with a coke and mashed potatoes. Waitress: Oh, you have two? Me: yeah, it's ok I'll finish it. Waitress: it's not ok, because we are busy! Me: I really don't care, don't you effin work here? Stop talking to me and get to work..... It's busy.

This place is great! I don't know what is up with all the mixed reviews. I see some that say "bad service" and some complaints about the high prices. Maybe I got lucky timing with my visit but the entire staff was on their A game. It's like we were being treated as Taeyang and his posse. After being politely seated by the host; it came time to order our first round of unlimited Korean bbq! We received nothing but great service all the way up until our final round. Let me add that we were savages too, no mercy! We asked for countless refills on the side dishes, a couple beers, water refill, changes of the grill and tons of food when ordering all throughout 5 rounds of food that last around an hour and a half. The prices have been raised I believe because it used to be offered as 20.99 without tax but it totals to around 26.78 including tax now. Let me tell you this is not a high price. I'm from Portland OR. The Korean food here sucks and IS expensive. You can end up paying 50 plus for two people at any Korean restaurant in OR and still be dissatisfied. Okay we have service, CHECK. Pricing, CHECK. Now moving onto quality; they have a great selection of meats, sides, seafood, soup and vegetables that are available in the buffet. 14 different things to be exact and you can pretty much order as much as you want of any. My group mainly recycled the pork belly and marinated short ribs along with number 3. I don't remember what it was called! I recommend avoiding the squid, beef cubes ( it's like hamburger meat ) and marinated pork, they were just meh. Listen to me and you'll be all set. I wish you all a happy time and congratulations on your new FOOD BABY to come!

Palace Korean Bar & Grill was a pleasant surprise. I went in expecting run of the mill food, but was treated not only to a big plate of teriyaki, but several other small plates of veggies and soup. The facility is big enough to host large parties, or just a few people wanting to go to the bar area. I was seated over by the bar and placed my order of teriyaki. The food arrived quickly and immediately noted how much of a value all the food was for the price. The service was friendly and prompt, and there were lots of drink options. Their location is a bit off the beaten path, but is worth the short journey to make a stop here. If you are looking for lots of good Asian bbq for a modest price, look no further.

I've been here many times....and I know to wear my clothes I can bear to get stinky. Why i don't have a review for this place? I have no clue. I was pretty sure I wrote a review a few years ago. Anyhow, prices have gone up ever so slightly, and the service seems a bit skimpier. The last time I was here there were 5 million people working. Now there is 2. The meat seems fresher here than other places. I will say ask for you food when you can, because the ladies try to avoid you after you get your second helping. Hello, it is all you can eat. I will come back because it's a great restaurant to eat and socialize. Thank god for the heaters this place use to be freezing and it has helped so much.

A bunch of friend and I came here for the first time today. We got here early (11:30a on a Sunday) and it was empty. Just us. It is $18.95, all you can eat, but don't get too crazy because they charge $5 if you don't eat all (it's $8.95 or something like that for kids 4-7). Which at first sounds kind of messed up, but it forces you to really think about what you're eating. Just order a little at a time. If you need more, you can always order more. Comes with a bunch of sides, soup, a big green salad and rice. I suggest the brown rice, which is more like a purple rice with beans. It's good. The kalbi (short ribs) is really good. Good flavor. We also had chicken, thin sliced beef, and shrimp. You cook it yourself at your table. Every now and again a server will come by and flip your food and cut it for you. It's kind of nice. Otherwise, you just do it yourself. As time went on, they got really busy and it was hard to flag them down for more rice or water or to order more food. There is a call button at your table, but it didn't seem to work. We ended up flagging someone down that passed. It is a decent price for all the food you get. I could not breathe by the end of the meal. We had no left overs. Yay! It is a nice, big clean restaurant. Lots of seating. Do go early if you can to avoid the business. Otherwise, great Korean BBQ.

Clean, food decent, can't say anything negative, they are a bit on the slow side. For buffet second round they can be super slow.. But I'd eat there again. I go there maybe twice a year.

The food is exceptionally great, however, the service did not match the quality of their food. After ordering our second round of meats, our server gave one of those "ok... you're ordering too much" looks. I'm originally from California, so I'm not sure if those types of expressions are custom here in Washington so I left that at that. What really motivated me to create a review to share was the expected "18% tip." That being said, after I signed my receipt I was held back... literally held back till I gave the 18%. After being called cheap serval times I gave in. Again, I was passive due to that fact I'm not a local and I didn't know what to expect. Plus, I was with my lady so I didn't want to stir the pot anymore that it already was. I personally will not be returning to this particular restaurant/buffet.

Two of us ordered AYE Korean BBQ at $20.99 per person that offers 14 different items to choose from and as many items as you wish to have. The selections include several typical Korean marinated and non-marinated carnivore items, head-on shrimps, baby octopuses, veggies and spicy soy bean paste soup. The price keeps going up, yet it's nice to have all these options. We ordered pork belly, beef tenderloin, sliced beef, an assortment of vegetables and a bowl of the spicy Korean soup with a large bottle of OB beer. We ate 1/3 of what they brought out originally as 1st serving. We asked if we could bring the rest home and was told no. I asked them what they were doing with it and they said they would throw it away after a moment of hesitation. Um, so they would throw it away but they wouldn't let us take it home. Are they recycling what was left on our plates and serving it to others? I really hope not. I couldn't help myself and expressed my concerns with one of the waitresses. A big mistake. I was told to go somewhere else next time. Did she really say that?

I have been here several times and it's my go to spot for AYCE bbq despite the prices getting higer and higher. I always recieve great service when I come, the waitresses always come and check up on us, change our grill and never have a problem with refilling our drinks or sides. I get a refill on the fish cakes about 5 times because they're so good! I never get the seafood so I have no opionion. Tried the chicken a couple of years ago and thought it was dry and flavorless. I don't like the marinade for the pork, but pork belly and beef are my favorites. I love the lettuce and the purple bean rice as well.

I went there for lunch today for my son birthday and service sucks. Our waitress forgot our sauce and when we asked for some she rolled her eyes. She didn't come back and asked how our food was until the end. If you expect great service don't go there but the food is good.

Lunch Specials are inexpensive and have many choices, including the ubiquitous kalbi and bugolgi dishes plus stone-pot soups. Good quality, great prices, fairly large portions = thumbs up. Have only had their Korean BBQ all-u-can-eat, haven't tried their a la carte menu yet. Not knowing Korean makes it kinda hard, the English description makes everything sounds the same. The BBQ is pretty good, Kalbi beef short ribs are of good thickness, portions are large (even on seconds); however I wouldn't mind more flavorful or more intense marinade and sauces. I am at the age where flavor is also important, not quantity. Still had great experiences there. It's a Korean restaurant run by Koreans, don't expect western style hospitality nor service. They have service, just the "bring you your food and drinks" unobtrusive kind. Definitely would patronized again. Recommend!

Delicious, filling, fair prices. If you're going here you've probably had a Korean friend or at least a token Asian whose recommended this place to you. And rightfully so, this is a great place to hang out and fill your bellies. I always enjoy coming here in groups and doing the all you can eat when you're all really hungry. You can choose from all sorts of meat like beef ribs, pork tenderloins, shrimp, and other more exotic meats. It comes with a whole bunch of veggies like Kim chi to eat. There's a grill in the middle of the table that gets fired up, they bring you a platter of meat and you grill it up however you like to eat it. You can have them do it for you if that makes you uncomfortable but, that's half the fun!

    (4)
  • Nick P.

Food and service were both excellent. The all-you-can-eat lunch option is a tremendous value even if you don't plan to eat a lot--it's not much more than the other options and allows you to sample more of the flavored.

This was my first time eating here. We were hungry after getting our hairs cut and was craving for some Korean bbq. Down in federal way, we had an abundance of places to choose from and decided to take your chances here and boy did we make the right choice. Each table gets their own grill, we order what we want and they bring it out for you with the traditional side dishes along with it. Everything is delicious and fun to eat. Plus it's an all you can eat! I highly recommend coming here for some kbbq

What started out as a bad experience finished off with a delicious turn. For first time customers there should be a sign that states you have to sign your own name on the wait list to be seated. My partner and I waited more than ten minutes to even get the attention of the front desk staff, in which everytime we said something it was hold on, finally one of the hostess came and told us to put our names on the list, thankfully a few min later as we were deciding on leaving our name was called and we were asked if we wanted traditional or unlimited bbg. We opted for the unlimited. We were served some vegetables tofu, fish cakes and kim Chi as we ordered from a menu of meats and vegetables that we got to cook ourselves. Great choices, marinade was great, could use more choice in veggies to go with other than onions, carrots, and zucchini. Drinks were ok strong (: yet a little too sweet, price was ok, but food is worth going again

After a particularly awful dinner service and a couple mediocre lunch visits, Palace requires an update and a downgrade. It's a pity - the meat selection has been decent in the past. Last night, our party of 6 received some of the worst service ever. It was a hit parade of customer service no-no's with new bits thrown in: -HORRID: waitress poured water into some of our party's pop, even when my daughter tried to cover her cup with her hand. (!) She did not listen when we tried to stop and alert her. No one ever replaced the drinks or would listen when we tried to explain what happened. - WORST: waitress spilled RAW chicken juice on our table and on the cooked food on the grill - and didn't clean it. (this was towards the end of our meal, mercifully.) Additionally: -Never gave us a menu and told us that "all you can eat" was the only available option (I'm going to check on that) -Repeatedly forgot to bring tea - even when asked several times -No refills of almost all ban chan - only one refill of potato salad -It was FREEZING in the dining room. It is usually chilly in this restaurant, but this visit it was so cold we were uncomfortable. Several of us ate with our coats on. Why I think they're seriously slipping: Palace is doing lots of offers on Groupon and similar sites. I'm guessing all the coupon transactions are driving down the service further. All You Can Eat is now $18 per person, $9 for kids under 8 years old. We had a required gratuity of about $25 on our meal because of the size of our party. That was the hardest thing of all to swallow. Conclusion: Go to Cham or Honey Pig instead.

Was very hectic when I came in. The food was good but out waitress was horrible. Took a long time to order more meat, and took a long time to change the grill. I had to sit and wait for what seemed like forever for her to bring a new grill to change ours. I left there hungry!

The first time, about 4-5 months ago, this place was great! After going today, I've had to reconsider. Not only did I get sick, but the prices went up and I was brought a molded onion from #14 (unlimited BBQ) that was supposed to have carrots, zucchini and onions. No carrots and two small slices of zucchini. The service was alright but the bathrooms were really dirty. All of the stalls were missing toilet liners, pee on every seat from girls hovering (can I be real?) and one of the faucets was left on. The girls serving us were more interested in gabbing with each other than their customers. It was fairly empty (1 or 2 tables of less than 4 people) and our check took more than 15 minutes to get. Maybe it was just a bad night? But again, I got sick and probably won't go there again.

Coming here from LA this is okay food. Meat cuts are too fatty. Service was decent They might want to consider having a premium cut menu for leaner meat which they can charge more for. At least have it as an option.

given that I've only been here once - I wasn't impressed by the first impression. I ordered the tofu and seafood stew and the tofu was over cooked. the seafood didn't taste fresh and the soup itself had a strange flavor to it. Prices seemed in par with the 100 other korean restaurants on highway 99. But nothing to impress food wise. My buddy had chicken fried rice and it was pretty standard restaurant style fried rice with teriyaki chicken. There are many other options for korean food as well as buffet options. Nothing set this place out from the rest and i've had far better down and around the corner.

This location is much better than the Bellevue one. The customer service is way better. The ladies even help put the meat on the grill and cut it up and everything (even though you are technically supposed to cook it yourself). It's super cold because they have the vents on so make sure to bundle up. I'd check for LivingSocial and Groupon deals (makes it worth it). They tend to have a lot of them. Pricing went up a couple of bucks. They have a bar but it doesn't ever seem to be open. Parking is plentiful.

By Far my favorite place when I'm hungry and have money in my wallet. $20 all you can eat korean bbq is so worth it. Meat and sides keep coming, the only downside is you must cook the meat yourself. So delicious, I would recommend if you like meat, kalbi and the chicken is my favorite and also the sweet potato.

The All you can eat experience is way too expensive, 22.99 including tax and tip, it would be $30. The food choice is the usual, but vegetables is extra! Taste Mediocre

One of the best KBBQ restaurants in Seattle-Tacoma area. Clearly, if you think their customer service isn't that great... Try other KBBQ places. Customer service elsewhere seems damn right unethical! So suck up some of those frowns from the servers and just enjoy the food! Food here is amazing though! All you can eat meat! The price has gone up since me & hubby first went here. ($14.99 to $17.99!) I think it's more expensive now though... Sadly. Also, they used to serve complimentary spicy tofu soup AND steamed egg soup. But they don't anymore. I think they got rid of the free steamed egg soup. Their ban chan (side dishes) varies every time we go; I think it just depends on what they have that day. But they're all yummy! As for the meat... Very well marinated! We like to get bulgogi, kalbi, samgyapsal (pork belly), and briskets!! They also serve you greens (salad) or you can ask for lettuce wrap if you're on a lowcarb/nocarb diet! White rice/brown rice is an option too :) Wish there was free dessert though!

When I was there they looked pretty busy. This was not my first trip. My mom likes going to this one so this is where we go for KBBQ. Make sure you wear clothes that you don't mind getting smelly! Anyway, everything was pretty good... It's all you can eat but they give you a lot the first round. Maybe that's just me though... I see other tables on like round 5 when I'm struggling to finish the first one. My favorite is the marinated beef and beef short ribs! Yum. One of the things that I do not like is how the server will throw on a bunch of meat on the grill for you without asking. I get they are trying to be helpful. I mean what if I don't want to eat all of the chicken at once!? So when they walk away.. I have to pull it off of the grill. My mom asked for garlic three times from three different people... None of them ever came back with it. She just gave up asking.

Granted I would give this restaurant 5 stars, but unfortunately the service is a hit or miss. I've been here with my hubby countless times and always had service that is either great, ok, or not so good. We love korean bbq, and love taking our friends to experience the fun in grilling your own meats and seafoods, but it's just unfortunate when the service is not soo good. I've tried to pinpoint why the service is poor but I still don't know why. I've been here when it's packed and busy in the evening and service is good, but yet ate here in the afternoon and not so packed, yet had a hard time getting a refill on my drinks or a second serving of kimchee etc...I can only assume maybe during the day they're busy in the back with orders or whatnot.

Don't waste your time. I've been to many places like this and I just don't know where to begin. We came in a party of six. They sat us in two separate tables because the place can't accommodate for 4 or more. Then I notice stains on the windows before I sat but I still wanted to give it a try. The choices of rice is white and brown. The brown rice is purple and is terrible. The meat wasn't fresh. It took forever to get a grill change. One server toss food into the grill....All on top of each other. Spent 200.00 because they charged us a 18% tip but we had two separate tables and had two different servers. I don't mind paying tip. I even paid a 60 dollar tip for great service but this wasn't worth it. Oh god the bathroom!!! All I can say is there was something on the wall.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Not based on the food but based on the fact that I worked all day long, had a rare evening with NO KIDS so I decided to come and eat here alone. I waited behind a couple parties to be seated and when it was my turn I was told that the minimum party size for the BBQ is 2... So basically if you don't have a date you're fucked and you can't eat here. Yet this "rule" is not posted ANYWHERE in the restaurant. I've eaten here before with friends and with my kids but I will never return....

This place is getting worse and worse!!! The service was so bad I stop coming about 6 months ago but my friend begged me to go today and even offered to pay so I said yes.... Boy I never thought service could get worse but it did!!!! Simply just Avoid Avoid Avoid at all cost!!!!!

Came here for the first time, they were kinda busy that evening, and seemed short staffed. As I walked in, there were already people in the waiting area waiting to be seated. I walked up to the hostest an asked to get on the list for a table, she said OK wait a minute she'll be right back. As I stood and waited several groups came in and put themselves on the list. Uh oh, I better get up there, this is every man for himself, as I was about to grab the clipboard, a heavy set Korean gal ran up and snatched the clipboard and put her name down, "wtf", I'm hungry too, i've been waiting for almost half an hour, so I placed my name above her on the list. A different hostest showed up and the big Korean gal started talking to the hostest in korean, as they were looking towards me, she was then seated before me and a couple that was also there before big Korean gal and her husband. When we were finally seated, took another 40 minutes for someone to come take our orders, only one waitress working about 10 tables. To cut the story short, I was not very happy, the food was ok, but the $89 combo platter was pretty small. I would give this place 0 stars for service, 2 stars for the food. "I will not be back!"

I've never had to fend for myself in the great outdoors but I imagine it is somewhat similar to this. Essentially you're cooking raw animal parts over a tiny heat source in the freezing cold, right? An experienced hunter might counter and say, "A-ha! Not even close! You have to catch your prey in the wild!" And then I would tell them that it was totally obvious that they've never been here because catching a waitress' attention is quite an admirable feat. Getting her to remember all of your order is another battle in itself. The service here is glacial... but I guess I would be a little frosty if I had to work in this icebox for 40 hours a week (those puns were SO intended, by the way). If you need something, try to order in one fell swoop, and just pray to the KBBQ god that your waitress will remember half of what you wanted. Honestly, I don't blame the waitresses. They're understaffed and the language barrier just puts additional pressure on them. Just chill out (Guffaw! Another great pun!) and enjoy the unlimited meat!

I've gone here several times and my experience here has definitely been one of the more pleasant ones compared to other Korean restaurants. This place can accommodate large groups since I usually go with friends for the all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ, but you just have to be willing to wait because this place does not take reservations. When we are seated, we are given a menu with a list of possible meats to choose from and we usually choose two or three different kinds of meat at a time. Then they would bring us a giant plate filled with our choices. We can always ask for more, but I have a feeling they get a little irked if you ask them to go back and get you meat more than three times. One time, I went with my family and before we can ask for a fourth plate of meat, they were handing us the bill. I wasn't sure if it was their way of telling us to get a clue, but that's how I felt. Still, three giant plates of meat is A LOT. I have always left disgustingly full. Last thing to note is that they have a sister location in Bellevue. Bellevue? A nicer spot, right? WRONG! If someone were to ask me which I'd prefer, it's definitely a 100 times better in Federal Way...mainly because the customer service here is so much better!

Delicious , love the bento Kalbi lunch!so much food. Kimchi verity is wonderful , great choices! Great prices!! BBQ is also wonderful, lots of meat to choose from, love it all!!this location is much better than Tacoma . Enjoy, you'll be coming back for more:)

Customer service is at it's all time shitty whenever I come here. Maybe it's cus I always come in a group of 6 or more but really, how hard is it to ask every now and then what we need. ? Just saying. And the waitress had an attitude about serving so many of us. All bad. Food was great though.

    (3)
  • Vanna P.

This place was not bad for KBBQ. I must say though, the Federal Way location is way cleaner than the Crossroads location! The meat is good and the kimchi sides were not bad. I would only go here if someone else wanted to because you absolutely stink of bbq after you eat here. Lol

I LOVE KOREAN FOOD. This place does a real good job with seating everyone in a timely manner if you're pretty hungry. It's a bit far but worth the drive if you just want to get away from Seattle. I love the potato salad side dish while were waiting for our food. It's great for a big group. The price is decent and could be split easily at the cashier. The service varies, I've had times where our flames would be out for a while before them came around. Other times they were pretty on top of it. Food is great and there's privacy between tables and the place is pretty big. Parking is easy they have their own lot, I've never been here and they didn't have any.

$14.99 all you can eat! My friend and I were impressed with the cleanliness of this place. I love how they bring you the meats, banchan and soup over to the table. For $14.99 you have a choice of getting various kinds of beef ranging from short ribs to tongue, chicken, spicy pork, shrimp, squid and octopus. We ordered everything minus the beef tongue, octopus and squid. Everything tasted well seasoned but I would recommend skipping the shrimp because that tasted super fishy. The service here was great. Our waitress even cooked us our first order of meat and gave us suggestions on how to pair the meats with sauces or banchan. I definitely got my money's worth here. =)

I don't expect a lot of service when I order Korean BBQ since I'm basically cooking the food myself so the service was pretty much what I expected, not a lot. The food was just okay. But huge warning, the place was really dirty. There were used grills and dirty dishes stacked on the carts right next to the tables and the bathroom was disgusting.

  • Arthur K.

This is a good spot for cheap all you can eat Korean BBQ. They have a pretty large selection of dishes here from kalbi, chicken and pork all the way to beef stomach. The service is not very good here so don't expect things to happen very quickly. You might even wait a while at the entrance just to get a seat, but people go here for the all you can eat and the cheap price. There are times you have to hunt a server down. The kalbi was marinated alright. It was nothing fabulous but it's expected for such a cheap all you can eat place. The side dishes were also mediocre at best. Go here to get lots of Korean BBQ for a cheap price. That's probably the only reason I keep going back.

  • Chris J.

Every time I've been here, it was satisfying, I heard that the waitresses could be a little rude, but not in my case. (Maybe cause I'm Korean) As I came in, they sat me in a timely manner and was able to get my order quick. They were very polite and prompt with little requests I made for side dishes and what not. Only reason I'm giving it a 3 stars is, because the taste of the meat is good and not fantastic, second, because this is like the go-to place since there aren't any better Korean BBQ restaurants around.

I had been here early 2014 and it was a fun experience. I went here again recently, and it was quite different. We went there early Sunday afternoon, so maybe it varies greatly with timing. We did the all you can eat thing where we barbecue it ourselves. The price had risen a few bucks. It's $20.99, now. When we picked the veggie dish to barbecue, it came out a bit discolored and dried, like it had been growing mold, or something. It was so old that it didn't really cook after more than 10 minutes on the grill. The meat didn't look unfresh, but it's hard to tell because they're heavily marinated. All I can really tell you for sure is that I can handle spicy food, but I am having some real uh...issues...today. I'm probably not going to return, there. The gastronomic risk is too great, and I really have doubts about how long the food had been sitting.

  • Sarah R.

Food is delicious especially since they have the all you can eat option which comes with a bunch of side dishes and a yummy spicy soup. Service, on the other hand not so great :( They'll have one lady to an entire section of about 16 tables! My friend ordered a cocktail and ended up going behind the bar and making it for himself. Beware, you'll leave smelling like BBQ lol.

You can't beat $15.99/person all you can eat Korean BBQ! The service was a bit slow, but the waitress was very friendly. The beef short ribs were delicious! I was disappointed that the pork belly kept coming out frozen. But overall, the meal was a great value. Some of the meat was more on the bland side, but the short ribs were perfect in my opinion. The waitresses all have way to many tables so they would always forget to bring you a drink refill, more rice and sides. I think they should hire more help for the amount of business they get in the restaurant.

Finally visited this Korean BBQ place. Well, it was big and little weird designed as I felt like I was walking on a walkway, like a ramp with tables to right and then a big wall that hid large tables with the grill. Sat down and unfortunately due to my OCD of cleanliness I notice how dirty and dank, yes I said dank the restaurant was.... ok moving forward. The table was large and able to fit our whole entourage of friends celebrating a birthday. Ordered the unlimited and waited patiently as we all talked about how hungry we were, lol! Food seemed to come pretty quickly once they got the grill up and running, the waitress had a little difficulty at first. Ah-gee-ma had to help the youngin' out and show her the trick. .....arriving first, banchans!!! oh yea:) about 6-8 different kinds, cucumbers, kimchee, radish, bean sprout and so on. Soy bean paste and a soy sauce teriyaki mix too. Lettuce in a large bowl marinated with a vinegarette dressing and thinly sliced onions. A large plate of meat was placed on our table and TaDa, cooking time yo! All the meat was pretty deelish, can't complain about any of it! The pork belly, YUM, the brisket, oh YES, kalbi, Mmmmm, Spicy Pork, oh Yeah!!! Service was pretty good, another large party arrived around the same time and of course other customers as well, so they tried to hustle but had to ask multiple times for certain things but it's acceptable.

My wife and I were actually a fan of this place, mainly because they had regular Groupon deals to bring us in. Many times we had the all you can eat BBQ and on occasion had something off the regular menu for lunch since those were the only reasonable prices. The last time we went, I ended up with food poisoning for 4 days! I've had less than a handful of these cases, but this was by far the worst ever. The service is also terrible and you have to basically wave and stand up to get extra meat or refills on the side dishes or water. I will try to be neutral and say it was nice having all those extra side dishes with the meal, but in the end not worth the sickness and poor service. We usually looked over this because of the fair deal with the Groupon. We will no longer EVER be back because of the food quality and poor service. I did see one of the workers outside of work and we exchanged smiles...something that none of the workers ever did while we were in the restaurant oddly enough. Conclusion: Got FOOD POISONING, Service is terribleI gave it 2 stars because we did frequent the place quite often before with our Groupon's, dealing with the service until the sickness. Can't be totally biased here :)

Love the food! I come here often, but the service sucks. Service always starts good before we order. Then everyone disappears. I get an blatant attitude when asking for more food. I don't consider myself impatient by any means. When we finish all of the food on the grill, all of the sides are gone, and we are waiting to just put in another order is just too long. I'll keep coming cause I like the food and cleanliness of the place. Location is great and never have to worry about parking.

I've been to this KBBQ 3x's so far, and I've had nothing but wonderful service! There's another in Bellevue, but I prefer Federal Way so much more. HERE'S WHY! The Bellevue location's service is extremely slow. I've been to that one at least 5x's and each time, nobody was up front to greet me. Not at this one though. As soon as I walk in with company, someone was always front and center, or at least walking towards us to say hello. The longest waiting period I've experienced here was no more than 5 minutes. It gets busy for sure, but they manage to keep their guests coming and going flow smoothly. As soon as we're seated, a server is always ready with the grill/plate and goes over the menu. Asks what meats we'd like, suggests their favorites, and brings water pretty quickly. One thing that irks me about restaurants is whether you have to wait so long for a refill of water, or if the servers are on top of it. They may have multiple tables to tend to, but always sneak time to fill our water :) You're given some side dishes which include foods such as: kimchee, broccoli, bean sprouts, fish, potato salad etc. I didn't know what everything was at first, but they happily told me what was what...I've tried it all and they're delicious! You can always request for more if you end up finishing any sides too. As you're enjoying the side dishes, they also bring out some soup. (Not my favorite, but everyone else seems to like it.) Each time I've been here, our servers kindly got the whole BBQing process started for us. If something needed to be cut, they'd do it, and they'd get as much as they could on the grill. The rest is left for you to cook. The food doesn't take long to cook, it's all you can eat, their service is spectacular, the food is tasty, they change out the grill/plates for you accordingly (sometimes, without even having to ask,) the bathrooms are clean, there's open parking..no complaints at all! *Writing this is making me want to go see them. Like right now. Haha

Palace is definitely on of my top to-go places for KBBQ. It has top quality service and a wide range of food to choose from. I especially love their never ending side dishes, along with hot tea. Great customer service with great food!

I like this place. nice environment. I would give 5 stars but sometimes they are so busy its hard to get a refill on water or soda....but the food is amazing! highly recommend this place for sure.

I've eaten here a number if times and I have consistently enjoyed very generous portions of meat, side dishes and attentive service. It is not fine dining but always hits the spot. Definitely on my favorites list.

I really had a lot of doubts about this location. After experiencing disappointing service AND fare at the Bellevue location I really did not have high hopes for the FW branch. Maybe my expectations were so low that they went over and beyond, but it's now been a few days since I went and I have to honestly say that I really enjoyed my meal at Palace! I went on a weekend and it was buzzing but not crazy busy. The flow of this location is definitly better. The space just seems larger and the carts don't seem to jam up as much as Bellevue. The side dishes here, especially the freshly made kimchi were realy really good. Add to this that anytime we hit the bell, the service came by relatively quickly-and our meat quality was so very nice (the galbi and sahm gyup sal were meaty not overly fatty). While i found the tofu stew at the end just a tad bit on the saltier side, overall my experience at Palace Federal Way was delicious with good service. I plan on taking some friends here this weekend and will see if my visit was a fluke, but as of now, I am mighty excited with this Palace

This is my first time at the federal way location, however I've have been to the Bellevue location half a dozen times. I've always had good experiences in Bellevue but I can't say the same for federal Way. Let's just say my sister and I have spent the our whole evening in the bathroom.

It was my first time coming here yesterday. All yu can eat meat?! HELL YESS! My suggestion is to come earlier in the day when it's slower because then yu can have amazing service from the server. They are able to come around more & to help yu with your food (cutting the meat in nice portions, etc..) we had a wonderful server btw. I like their selection of meats. The marinated beef short ribs, beef slices, spicy pork BBQ, & pork belly were my favorite. We also tried the octopus & intestines (not for the faint of heart). I would definitely come back again.

I'm almost always pretty sold if a Korean BBQ joint has ddukbokki on the forefront of their menu's. To my luck, PALACE DID!!! I ordered their LUNCH BENTO, that came with a salad, seafood roll, slice of mackerel, rice, fruit slice, and my entree which just happened to be beef short ribs. Not only did we get our lunch bentos, but they also served the sides, which surprised me since I half expected to not get any! How awesome is that?! So here I am, with an ENORMOUS lunch bento AND sides. I was up to my NECK in food.... ....meaning I was a happy girl. :)))))) Overall pretty good place. Just adding in a smidge of a warning though... it's kind of cold in there? I don't know, maybe it's just me, but when we ate we were seriously eating with coats and scarves on. *shrugs*

I cannot comment more on how much better this location is in comparison to the Bellevue location. The service is much friendlier and quicker. They are attentive and actually help you put the meat onto the grill and cut it. The grills here are also kind of like a wood coal versus the propane grills at the Bellevue location. This difference in heating actually makes a big effect on the taste of the meat. I always feel like the meat here and side dishes taste better in quality as well. For $16.99 you get the all you can eat dinner. This comes with small side dishes, rice, meat, soup, and drinks (depending on what you order). Unfortunately they used to give you an egg dish but the waitress told me they no longer give it for free and it is now available for $5.00. The restaurant itself is usually clean when I eat here and the bathrooms as well. The parking lot is spacious and always has room. I definitely make the extra effort to drive farther to this location versus the Bellevue for my KBBQ fix, as should you!

I've had my share of Korean food through many different major US cities and I can honestly say this one is definitely within my TOP 5! Great menu and ambiance along with a fun cocktail menu, good service and fair prices. Will return when in town!

I would say that this place is best for all you can eat Kbbq. There are a few other places that's great for BBQ but but all you can eat. The service is way better than Bellevue. I feel like Bellevue is full of kids working there. I am sad the steamed egg isn't free anymore. It's so fluffy and salty and amazing. I like their kalbi and chaldobehgi and samgalpsal. I also like the salad, I like eating with it instead of rice. I wouldn't come here for other korean food though. There are tons of Korean restaurants in Federal way that has specialty soups and seafood.

When they first opened, they had a great Lunch Special Menu and with the large density of Korean restaurants in Federal Way, I guess you'd have to compete. What keeps me coming back, however, is their $14.95 All-You-Can-Eat Korean BBQ. First off, most Korean BBQ places charge around $25 for an all-you-can-eat deal, so the price is great! But they don't sacrifice quality for their lower price. The meats are very tender, the side dish accompaniments (ban chan) are plentiful and constantly changing, and the end of the meal comes with a cool, spicy/sweet ginger drink to cleanse your palate. The restaurant is wide and spacious and one of the best parts of it all, is that you don't walk out of the restaurant reeking of the grill - well, less than most places anyway. I do realize that service is touch-and-go, but I've come to expect that from a lot of Korean restaurants, so I don't mind that much. TIP: If your service is lacking a little, make use of the bell that's been installed on one end of the table. Ring and they should answer.

For starters.. Though I will never understand how it feels to be homeless (knock on wood) after dining at this place I can understand a little. I brought four of my friends to eat there and spent over $90 for dinner total but we left feeling like we were beggars and deadbeats. The food was ok.. Even though I had to cook it myself.. Weird, that it costs that much when I have to cook myself. The service.. Now that brought it to another whole new level. I was always told that you want to try authentic Korean food. Are the waitresses angry constantly? Or do they get a bonus when they ignore paying customers? Maybe that was why I couldn't eat too much at this buffet. The other half of my stomach was fill was rage and the other half with anger. Good luck if you wanna try it. I hope you get a good server and if you do praise God, if not, just don't go back.

If you are in your carnivore mood. It is fun grilling the meat at your table and there is a good selection including pork chicken, several types of beef, shrimp even octopus if you like. They bring it until you stop hitting the button along with a good selection of side including kimchee. Everything tasted good and will be coming back again sometime soon.

I have never had Korean BBQ before and I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The meat was good, and I liked the fact it was all you could eat. Because it was our first time, the wait staff came and helped us out. It was a great place to socialize and eat a relaxing meal. However, because the portion sizes were large, I felt I was throwing food away I didn't have room to eat. I would suggest they offer an option of portion sizes, so you can try everything and yet not throw away food.

I love this place. All you can eat BBQ Korean food where you cook it how you like it and they just bring more and more. So much good food. My only complaint is that you can not use a BBQ unless you have more than one person on the buffet. So I only get to go on special occasions.

Been here twice. The price did go up from $15 to $17 but still get a lot of meat for the price. The banchan was tasty too, kimchee and variety of other veggies. The servers were pleasant and service was fine during both visits. It wasn't super busy at first but then more customers came in later so they were running around a bit. You do have to get their attention since they are running around. Still got our order in and replenished plenty of times. got the standard beef and pork dishes. all had a nice taste. the shrimp was really fresh, you can smell it when it was bought to the table and not in a bad way. They do set the temp bit high at the restaurant. I am assuming cause of all the bbqs going. the bathroom was warmer! the only thing I wish they did was not tear the lettuce up. I like to wrap it up with rice and the meat but oh well, I can deal. I would go again the next time I want to gorge on korean bbq! to be honest, it was the only thing I ate that day! =)

All you can eat for $15... Really?? I was skeptical at first and REALLY didn't want to do the all you can eat since I don't have a lot of room in my stomach as I was 7 months pregnant at the time of our visit. The servers barely spoke any English and we had a hard time trying to explain to her that I did not want the all you can eat. She kept pointing at it and told us that it was good. Well, after looking at their ala carte menu, we finally decided "what the hell, let's try their all you can eat". The kalbi was soo heavenly good, thin sliced beef was okay (comes unseasoned), prawn was... prawn... unseasoned, we also had the octopus (yuck, unseasoned as well), spicy pork bulgogi (meh...), and another tender beef dish which was OK. At first I didn't know that I have to ask for the extra banchan (side dishes), a lot of the servers passed by, glanced at the emtpy plates of banchan and kept on walking. I thought, "well, I guess the banchan isn't all you can eat?" but after a while I really wanted more fish cake so I waved one of the servers down and asked for more fish cake. Turns out that you have to actually ask for refills. I quickly gobbled down the fish cake and saw the same server walking down the aisle towards the table behind us so I asked her for more banchan but she saw that there were TWO pieces of fish cake left (with me still chewing on them) and told me that I have to finish it first before asking for more. Ummmm... first of all, you DO NOT deny a pregnant woman what she asked for (LOL), second, I asked for it in advance because I am in the process of gobbling down the fish cake and didn't really want to wait too long. I quickly toss the other 2 piece on my plate, smiled, and asked for it again. I think she was annoyed with me. It is not worth your money if you can't eat a lot but if you are a carnivore, go for it. My suggestion will be the kalbi. Order lots of it. Oh, and be prepared to be super confused and use a lot of hand gestures. Most of the servers don't speak (or barely speak) any English.

Hungry? Then come here! Came here for the first time after buying a Groupon ($15 for $30) and have to say I was so disappointed I didn't buy more. After going to Palace in Tacoma several times & reading some of the reviews for this one I was a little concerned if not worried about how the experience would go. However this Palace really does deliver! Our Banchan(side dishes) hit the table as soon as we were seated and the CHARCOAL BBQ was fired up in minutes. The ladies were SUPER friendly and ask you what meats you would like to BBQ rather than just bringing out a mixed plate of things you might not enjoy. This was a really nice touch since I generally prefer marinated meats & pork belly. The meal is also accompanied by a pot of bubbling tofu soup & steamed egg. The waitresses were nice and constantly coming by to see if we needed more meat since we did the ALL YOU CAN EAT special for $15. I honestly think my friend and I got our money's worth alone just in the amount of short ribs we consumed. The short ribs by the way were marinated perfectly & super tender. I think this place gets my seal of approval and will definitely have to bring my boo here next time for some good grilling. Definitely recommend coming here on a week night as it wasn't out of control busy so you'll be able to get more one-on-one service. Happy grilling :-).

My clients took me here when I was in Seattle and staying around near Sea-tac airport. Came here on a Friday night and there was a short wait. Not sure why because there were a few open tables. There were a few other people waiting as well. The meat were very good, and a lot of extra side dishes like Kim Chi, and etc. Ate too much and got really full. The place is a good size, and very clean. The service was good, very attentive and they helped with cooking the first batch of meat. They also came back later to turn down the heat. Definitely go here if you're craving Korean BBQ.

The first time we'd came here, this place was a 3 star experience. We had purchased a deal on groupon for dinner set for 2. My brother in law came with us and the lady told us it would be enough for 3 people. Boy, we were stuffed. My hubby really enjoyed this place because they used real coals on their grill. We'd came back the wknd after and it was just ok. I've experienced a way better all you can eat KBBQ in Federal Way. I wanted Jap Chae, but the lady told me I would have to pay. I asked them if they had any potato side dishes, and they said none available. I was disappointed because we only got a few pickled side dishes that were bleh. During our meal, we had power outage for a bit. The ventilation was horrible. If you go to Kim Kang Sun, their side includes: sushis, fried fish, different soups, jap chae, salad, potato sides. All INCLUDED with their price. They also serve crabs on the wknd. Forgot to mention desserts as well. I left this place disappointed and felt like I didn't get my $ worth. With tax and tip we spent $55 for the 2 of us. I would love to give this place another try, only if they 1 up their side dishes a bit. Jeeze Louise!

I took the boyfriend here for the first time. It was my second time going. We went there for the all you can eat BBQ which is priced at about 15$ (per person). So come in hungry! I like the location of it, it's relatively close to where we live (renton) and it's pretty easy to find. There aren't that many Korean BBQ places I know but we certainly enjoyed coming here. Going here is not only about the food but the experience as well. I wanted to take the boy here because it's different than a lot of the restaurants we usually go to. He's never been to a place that had a grill literally built right into your table and to also try out those small dishes (ban chan). Our overall experience was great. The food was great, nothing to complain about. Service was mediocre, we had to hunt down our waiter a few times but when they got to our table they accommodated us with whatever we needed. I would recommend this place to my friends and we most likely will return when we get another craving for some korean BBQ.

My recommendation is to SPEAK UP! They will bring you the cuts of meat that you want (I am talking about the all-you-can-eat BBQ), but if you do not tell the waitress what you like she will bring lots of chicken. ASK FOR MORE PORK BELLY AND SHE'LL BRING IT!!!

For what you pay for I certainly think Palace is definitely worth every penny. For $14.99 you get a CRAZAYYYY amount of meat (enough, I think for even the most obsessive carnivores to OD). ' Since Palace is a chain, there is one located on the Eastside in Crossroads area. That place sucks. The service sucks. The food is okay. And have I mentioned that the service sucks? So my friends and I decided to make the extra effort (30 minute drive) to putt putt our way all the way to Federal Way. The service at this Palace is so much better with waitresses who are much kinder (although a couple of them were sulky) and were quite happy to refill our empty banchan dishes, flip the meat for us when we got too busy taking soju shots (thank you!) and dropped by enough so we never even had to once think about pressing that little button on your table. And fancy that! They even use charcoal grills! So for the yelpers who absolutely swoon over Old Village and their charcoal grills (but are paying at least $50 for some lackluster meat) please, make your merry way on over here to chow down for a great price. And by the way, their soju shots are some fatty-ass shots. Yum.

Came 45 min before closing and they were very nice throughout with good service. Tender, fresh beef, good sides, great portions, excellent service. If you're eating with more than 4 ppl I suggest the combo plate. Delicious. If you ask for extra sides, they're happy to give it to you. wish they had couple more sides that I'm used to seeing and love at Korean BBQ places. Yum.

Holy mother of kim chee. I happened upon this place quite by accident (okay, I found myself in desperate need of Korean BBQ once I realized I was driving through the Korean cultural center of Puget Sound). Right after we walked in we were seated in front of a stainless steel pit, and handed two menus. A thick slick menu for newbies, and a one page menu for regulars. I saw a large group of elderly Koreans eating and celebrating their friends 50th (or something like) wedding anniversary. I asked our waitress what they were having. She pointed to the one page menu and said, "This one good. $14.95. No limit." I asked her what 'no limit' meant, and she said as much as you can eat. Oh baby. Yeah, we want that one. Within seconds, an immense selection of banchan was placed onto our table. Then the lettuce, sesame oil green onion salad, water, and a huge plate of assorted meat. Various cuts of pork, beef, chicken and two shrimp. The server cut up the marinated meat and placed them onto the grill, coming back about every 3 minutes to turn the meat over. When she came the third time (10 minutes from placing the meats on the grill) she said, "Okay it done. Eat now." Now, if that were not enough, she came back with 2 bowls of stew/soup and asked if we wanted to try them. Before I could ask, she said "No, it free." Free? Oh baby. Yeah, we want 'em. One was what appeared to be a fish stock boiled omelet with chopped green onions, the other was a garlic-pepper-tofu hot pot. Both were hot, spicy, fishy, and good. But not exceptional. We left shocked, stuffed and very happy. Great value (but don't eat the shrimp, they're not fresh and taste nasty). Everything else is very good and the service is incredible. I felt like I was being served by my wonderful Korean family -If I had one.

Items Ordered: - BBQ Chicken - Be Bim Bop (sp?) - Some Cold Noodle Dish This restaurant use to be an old Roadhouse Grill (ie. MAJOR FAIL.) The Koreans who converted this place did a great job. A lot of the main fixtures are in the same place; so it still has an American feel to it, BUT if you've been to as many Korean Restaurants as I have, this one looks completely different. I think the best part about walking into this place were the BEER PONG tables set up near the bar section with actual players competing. If BEER PONG ever becomes an Olympic Sport, you definitely want to train at this restaurant. So the food was okay, I was very disappointed in the poor lighting. I suppose if you do not care what your food looks like before you eat, then okay. Food was okay. Nothing special. I elected to not get the dinner buffet, but there is always next time. Service looked pretty typical for a Korean restaurant = poor. The restaurant is located near the Federal Way Transit which is where people get shot. I would recommend eating at Palace during daylight. They look like they have a yummy lunch special. I will be a repeat customer (eg. I only live 5 min away.) :)
